Download of the East disc was finished this morning. (I'll keep seeding to help out those in here as well) I burned the disc while I was getting ready for work. I'm going to try the new disc and see how it goes. I'll post an update after I check it out. I am making a rar set to post to the newsgroups when I get home later today. If everything goes well I will upload the east disc to:alt.binaries.cd.image with par2 files.

oh and i only need the east disk, do i need to download the west also for it to work and once done downloading what programs are good for burning it to a dvd?
ID use either nero burning rom or Imgburn works good to make sure your disc are dual layer and you burn at the slowest speed and verify the disc

mine went for 2 days basically before it started, hang in there. i know i am seeding from my home computer

If you are behind a router you need to do some port forwarding.

Something is not right, mine started as soon as I downloaded. As suggested check that you open ports in your router/cable or DSL modem/firewall software. It took me one day to finish downloading and now I am seeding at between 150kbs and 200kbs.
If I try to burn an image with Nero Express it will only let me select 16X...
Maybe I need to download a different version of Nero?
Anyone with an FTP??? That would rock right now. I am stuck since I dragged down the email at work. LOL
Ok i noticed the 1st torrent that was posted and i downloaded the east disc was as follows 7,922,518 KB & 7.55 GB
The new torrent that was posted and i just downloaded and am now seeding is as follows 7,924,656 & 7.55 GB
this could be why the 1st torrent isnt working. Opinions please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Downloaded the Full East ISO last night. Burned it this morning and it's working perfect. Used alcohol 120% to mount it, then to burn it. Put it in and it updated, Ive noticed it has some new roads on it too. I'll be seeding for a few days also. Working on downloading the west disk now.

I just set high priority on the west and low priority on the east, hope that helps you.

hey I unrared these but they are not iso's images. whats the best way to burn them to the dl dvd.
I use power ISO and burn at the slowest speed with verify data turned on. I have made 20 sets that are tested and perfect
I posted a link to get power ISO a few pages back.
BE patient only a few people have the west coast because my upload just went to 8 gig
the file is 7.99 so more seeders should be coming on line today.

Ok im done downloading both east & west 90mt iso's and wll seed all weekend. is there a way to rar. these an post em on the board so we can share and its easier then downloading ?
Updated 2 different units with the ISO files (East coast) and everything seems to be running just fine. Updated without a problem and navigation works just fine. I noticed a few POI pop up as well that were not in the last release. I have been seeding the east disc all day and will seed both all weekend (West is 95% done) I will also post both discs to :
alt.binaries.cd.image with 15% Par2 recovery volumes. The rar version of the iso is only 3 GB.

As for leechers/seeders I always keep my torrents to 1.2 upload ratio. That way I'm giving back a bit more than I'm taking. After that it's up to the "new kids" to keep the torrent alive. I would seed 24/7 but my ISP puts bandwidth caps on your line without warning or notice for "excessive usage" Too bad they never define "excessive". And my house is too far away from the Telco to get FIOS.
For the record I used a Memorex DVD +R DL burned with Alcohol 120% at 4x
