135mbps of upload bandwidth over three servers coming online momentarily... enjoy guys!

Posted Oct 01, 2009 · 01:52 UTC#52

Got mine updated. Has some newer roads, but not ones that were opened in March. At least only one way of my commute now has me driving on water from the bridge missing in the maps.

to the people that are saying that it's not being seeded enough and speeds are slow, I just wanted to note that I was able to download the complete torrent in less than 50 minutes.

Average speed was 2200+KB/sec....so there are definately some good seeders out there. Perhaps you guys are being throttled by your ISP?

I own an unmanaged dedicated server and I was able to get some pretty good speeds.

Thanks for seeding guys!

Ok.. I've had my system updated for about a day or two and noticed today that the system is kinda jumping...... I have a Z1 updated with each new update (2009 being the latest) and it used to show position and map moved smoothly... now it's like it updates every second and a half so it's like my position is jumping in like 50 foot increments or so... really annoying.. then somehow it got off and never corrected itself (position)... i look up in the menu's and it had 5-6 satellites so i dont' know... it did complain about a G sensor and needed a reboot... so i did... and it still never corrected itself and it is still jumpy.... anyone have this problem? i might just reimage the original Z3 image back on and see if any difference...

I'm downloading the image now... plan on seeding for a long time.

I'm still a bit unsure whether or not I should update my unit or not.

I have a Z1 that I had unlocked and upgraded to the Z3. I have the 2-wire bypass going on.

What exactly am I going to get with this? Just updated maps/POIs/new XM icon?

I'm seeing a sustained 5MBps (24mbps) upload across my three servers, so either the torrent has spread like wildfire recently or more people are just starting to download.

Either way, I'll continue seeding for the forseeable future, nothing irks me more than no seeders on a very popular torrent.

Reset all 3D calibration settings and this should get fixed.

This update (CNDV-900HD) includes updated maps, POI, fixes the missing XM channel logos, updates the GraceNotes database, and other firmware enhancements. I have no idea what is in the firmware enhancements, but it does go up to version 4.00000

Philmatic,

Great uploading speeds! I currently show that we have 17 seeds and 2 downloaders.

Had did that the next day... it was buggy at first... my position remained still for around 10 minutes... then it updated and was sluggish for a couple minutes and now seems fine! so thanks for the info... kinda nice knowing i defaulted to the right answer :) hope it stays ok... thanks again

Ok so I have a question. If the 900HD image files are now available then this should be as simple as burning everything to an 8.5gb dual layer dvd and then using the created back up copy disc to update the Z1-Z3's correct? I've done this in the past for a factory nav that I have in one of my cars. Just wondering why it would still be necessary to go in and pull hard drives out and get cable adaptors, etc.

I'm kinda new to working with the pioneer updates & hacks so bare with me 8)

The Z will not read the upgrade DVD disc without a password. The password is generated on the Pioneer website and requires the Media Key (from the update DVD, and can only be used once), and the serial number of the Z. If you do not enter the correct password, the Z will not update. If you own 2 Z's and only buy 1 update DVD, you can only update one unit. See the catch?

Thanks garrettoomey , that's exactly the answer I was looking for. I'm local (Arlington), so prob will be contacting you soon for one of your upgrades

No problem.

Anyone else experience their backup camera is now mirrored from what it was before the upgrade?

I had to cut a tiny jumper loop on the camera during install to reverse the image so it'd be appropriate to view and use to back up, and now there's no way I'll be able to solder it back.

Seemed to be a problem in my camera. I've had power issues in the car that I had to resolve with a battery replacement. My camera is tapped into a wire that's always hot, so I think the fluky power supply must have messed it up. I power-cycled it by removing the fuse and the problem was resolved.

I see my rapidshare uploads have been downloaded by a numerous people. How is it working? Any problems? Sometimes the .rar files get corrupted, especially when the original files are so large

Hey G35mass, I downloaded the files and when I went to extract it asked for a password. I assumed it was avic411.com but I keep getting and error saying wrong password.!

C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\z1 files\Z3_2009_virgin_torrent.part044.rar: CRC failed in the encrypted file z3_2009_virgin6.tib (wrong password ?)

It has said this for every tib file. Any help would be aprreciated.

Dan

The file was corrupted, re-download it.

G35mass,

Thank you for the rapidshare uploads. However I downloaded the files and when I was extracting it went to part 008 then error, I continued the extraction then had an error on a eight or nine other parts???. I redownloaded the files and made certain that I used the correct password(avic411.com) and again had exactly the same problem??? Has anybody downloaded and extrcted succsessfully? Maybe I am not downloading or extracting correctly. Please advise

Thank you,

Henryj

I will re-rar the files and re-upload, but it will take a day to get them up. Uploading is very slow :(

Posted Oct 07, 2009 · 03:25 UTC#73

This is why I prefer torrents for larger files. Your client checks the file integrity and downloads the missing parts at completion if this happens.

I have edited my previous post with the new RS links. No password this time.
