basically i tried to do the unit reboot fix found here viewtopic.php?f=33&t=23558 and now my unit will not boot past the splash screen and if i press the menue button it shows the start screen but the only thing i can do is go into settings and in settings it says that i dont have a map version or firmware version... i know im deeply screwed so instead of buying a new unit walk me through fixing it and ill pay you for your time...

have you tried deleting the entirecontent of the flashdisk and loading the hacked version of it, it will take time but i think if you get it working it's pretty much worth it,

Try downloading and installing the 3.0101 update for the X710bt from the pioneer website. It may fix your issue and if it does not you really have lost nothing but a small amount of time. For what it's worth after I used the official upgrade on my F700BT I had constant reboots (after a few minutes of sitting at the starting up screen) that were a result of the license file not being copied over from the SD cards. I also had no map or software version listed. I manually copied the license file from the SD to the AVIC and I did the 3.0101 upgrade and everything works great now. BTW...my official 3.0 upgrade appeared to run perfectly. No errors from either SD card, 100% completion in about 45 minutes. Hope this helps.
