i got a message from a member today about doing a Mac theme for the unit. this sounds like a good idea. so i will give it a try. i dont know how long it will take me or when it will be done. so far this is what i came up with. please remember this is a work in progress and things might change in the final.

i just use photoshop cs3 to make the themes

Theres already an Apple theme on this forum.

i saw that the other night. but all the links was dead on it. im gonna go with a ipod/iphone look for it. but this is just something i was messing around with to pass the time. lets just see where it goes.

I still have the leopard theme that was posted on here a while back. I can PM it to you if you would like.

Not sure of you should use the Safari icon or the Maps icon. For most iPhone users that icon us synonymous with accessing the web, not navigation. Cool idea though! Will be cool to see how it turns out.

I am not sure, but the light grey bars you have look great, but keep in mind that the text and channel numbers are white and might be washed out.

i tested what i had done so far.... lets just say it was real bad and i will have to go back and start it over again.

Lol, i hear ya! I spent nearly half a day making an 'Ice theme', which actually looked pretty good until I found out that the text in behind it wasn't readable ! It would have been awesome if the text would have been black or dark blue, but there is no way of changing that so my plans went in the garbage Oh well, this is how you learn, I guess.......

i started this theme over again. here are two pic's of what the iPod & AV menu would look like. i have all the buttons done. they will look like the ones under the iPod dial & will change to blue when pushed. the icons are based off of the iphone app buttons.

im looking for some mac styled AM & FM radio icon. if anyone can post a link that would be great. photoshop or PNG files work the best. any mac/apple templates would even work better if you got them could you post a link.

As noted by Abb: I'm still working on the theme. Here are some pictures of the Apple theme on the nav side of the unit. I'm using Diaftia's Hybrid mods V2.3 as a base model for the theme. The BMP can be poeted over to Abb's new chrome theme.

i tried to fix the multi-route/plan to keep everything in the button area. I moved the button lower & pulled the distance & time over so it wasn't bunched up all togther anymore. The new version is on the left & old is on the Right.
