I have the f500bt with the new 3.0 map update from pioneer. I want to be able to turn of the warning messages and enable video to play even while driving. Please PM or comment to my post. I don't even know how to get to the files on the unit. I tried some testmode thing on sd card that had no luck with. Please help and explain to a beginner lol.

Well, i did a hardware bypass on my f700bt. there is is a wire that should be connected to your handbrake , i just connected it to some Mass. The casing of your radio should do fine..

I have the unit grounded to the metal frame work that the radio is screwed into. I am able to watch video until I hit roughly 16 mile per hour, and then the video shuts off. The audio still comes through though. I was reading somewhere else that there is a file that has the value of 16 set so that when you hit that speed, it shuts that off. They say to change the value of that. I am kind of uncomfortable going into the system files, and I dont even know how to anyways.

If you don't feel comfortable editing files on your gps you will have to keep it as is. It is not hard to do thought.

once you figure out how to get into testmode it's very straight forward. the screen looks just like Windows because it is Windows. "hacking" the AVIC is simply copying and pasting files back and forth. read the FAQ thread to get the testmode files and follow the first post in this thread to get the bypass:

Copy file from AVIC, make changes in Notepad on your computer, copy file back to AVIC.
