I download the AVICZ110 file is on the top layer of my SD memory card and I insert it into the SD slot of my AVICZ110BT but nothing happens. I have waited several minutes for an install screen to pop up or for the system to reboot, but again nothing happens. I have tried 2 different SD cards (a lexar 512MB and a ScanDisk 2GB card) to no avail. I checked the Application version and it reads 1.000 not 1.001. If anyone can provide any help I would much appreciate it, thanks.

When you say AVICZ110 file, you mean folder right?

You need to download the zip file, and copy the AVICZ110 folder to the root of the SD Card, making sure nothing else is on it. Also, make sure the SD Card is formatted as FAT32, not NTFS.

I have the same problem. Tried two different SD cards. 1gb and 8gb. Tried fat 16 and 32 with the AVICZ110 folder saved on the root of the SD. Nothing happens. Any clues?

I did as you suggested and I still can't get it to work. Any other ideas?

Same problem here I tried 3 different cards, and nothing happens, The AVICZ110 folder is in the root directory, in fact it's the only thing on the disk. I know disk's work because I was able to play the wav files on the disks, and my recent trip let me export the gas mileage files to one of them. I guess I'll call Pioneer on Monday to see what the deal is.

Guys according to the release notes this only address an issue with the parking brake error message that some people were receiving. Doesn't seem worth the trouble to me.

Any new update on this? I wonder if the files are just messed up. Anyone know of a trick to put the radio in firmware update mode?

Same problem here.

Tried three different cards, 32GB, 2GB and 512MB and nothing, unit doesn't even blink. All FAT32 but no luck. If someone has had success upgrading it, please tell me what am I doing wrong.

Thats five people. Certainly sounds like a problem to me. Have you guys re-downloaded the files. Maybe there was a problem with the files when first posted. Jason, do you know anything about this?

I'll see what I can find out.

You are probably right, I am just concerned about this occurring every time a fw update becomes available, specially when the 120 update becomes available. I'm going to try calling Pioneer tomorrow but I expect I'll have to leave a voice mail since they always seem to be busy.

Pioneer has confirmed there is a problem with the update file. They will be fixing it shortly.

Excellent, thanks for the update JasonH. I was getting tired of waiting for a response from Pioneer.

Anyone know if the file has been updated yet?

Update. I just talked to a Pioneer rep and they have an email going around that the newer update should be posted by tonight. He said to be safe check it in the morning.

They couldn't just do it right in the first place? They did the same thing with the first F series update that was suppose to address all of the serious issues with that unit when it was released. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I think the problem is they have other components in place when they test it. What happens is that they release it to the public without those files. I bet it is a hidden file that is needed. We shall see.

The update has been fixed.

Posted May 25, 2010 · 03:04 UTC#20

Indeed, it uploaded to the unit right away.

Posted May 25, 2010 · 07:08 UTC#21

Seems to work for me as well, nice to see this problem get resolved. Thanks for the help.

Posted May 25, 2010 · 12:12 UTC#22

This time it uploaded right away. Now, after the process I checked the version and it says 01.00000 instead of 1.00000. I believe they meant to say 1.01000 but unit still works fine. I can live with that, I guess.

This a very serious forum. Pioneer's quality products lacked support, but this forum complements it just right.

Good job guys!

I didn't bother checking the application version after the update. I guess I should do that.

Posted May 25, 2010 · 23:00 UTC#24

If you want to see the software version after you do the update go into the Service Informatio screen then press and hold the top left corner of the screen (The hammer icon) and it should show the application version as 1.001
