When I try to move the map around to see other areas it moves back to cursor after 5 seconds. Smart zoom and smart zoom restore are both off I have turned off button fade. I am using mod MB-IDT3.0-3b.

It is the same for any mod. It is a "feature" from Pioneer.

You can go into the "Destination Target" selection map screen to prevent from going back to the current location.

Old post, but you might want to try my new mod v2.80, it has this problem fixed!

Serach for v2.80 in the Completed Mods section.

Good lucks!

If you need to scroll the map, just go to 'Cockpit Status' and you can scroll in 3D to your hearts content. I don't know though if this feature is available in Mister Blues mod, but it is in all of my mods and Diaftias as well as Chucks

Hey Abb, sorry for my ignorance! Where is this feature in our mods? Where is "Cockpit Status"?

Thanks.

On my V4, it is enabled by long-clicking the menu button. I think on the 2.75 it was enabled by long-clicking the time, or the compass originally but I think that I changed the spot. I don't remember, I had it in the instructions on my 2.75 mod which has been completely been erased from my first post of the 2.75 mod. I will let you know exactly when I get back to my computer and my files.

You mean the ReCalc, OS Sound ON/OFF, Day/Night option buttons. I have it on my toolbox now.

Thanks.

Actually, it was enabled by longclicking the 'time'. When this is enabled, you can scroll the entire map in 3D mode

Got it! Because when you bring up the Cockpit Status, you switch at the same time to the single map mode, and NOT the navigation map mode, and your menu icons bar is not a layer to this map mode, there is why you can browse at long as you like.

However, you always have the Cockpit Status blocking your view.

Yes, except my V4 is a lot more compact than my V2.75, so it is not that much of a convenience, and actually in 3d mode with 90degree tilt, it is not in the way at all

You're right. But I would prefer browsing the map in 2D North mode, which is more convenience for checking location.

I would include a menu item for this feature in my next update, if I have to update it because of bugs.

Ciao.

I have now made it so that scrolling is capable, fully, even in 2D mode. Thanks for pointing this out to me as I never use 2D, but you are right, for scrolling it is definately better. I have put a pic in my thread here:
