Hey there. I've been on the forum for a little while, and have done a lot of reading. I've also gotten some great help from another gsk1k.

Anyway, here is my issue. My unit will power up to the splash screen, wait a few moments, then the screen will go black, but the unit will remain on.

I have tried the "push the map button trick, to turn off the back up camera" but no response.

I've also installed/formatted the unit with new WINCEIMG.BIN/CKS files, and that has been successfully loaded. But, then when I put in my SD card with testmode (2.3 I believe) on it, to get rid of the APL1 files, my unit powers up to splash screen, blinks, then goes to the windows desktop view, but after about 1-2 seconds, my screen goes black again. I've tried this multiple time, but nothing is working.

What should I do?

Also, I don't have a back-up cam connected (never have)

And in the system/service window, when it came time to select "SD/USB (Format)" I didn't have that option. Instead mine said "SD/MMC (Format)", would this cause a problem?

I don't need a long answer, or paragraphs of information. I've done a ton of reading and searching here on the site, but I still can't find anything that could help me in my situation with what's going on.

Does someone just possibly have a link to something else/new I could try? I'm almost to the point of just pawning it... which is a bummer, because I love this thing.

Hope that helps.. One of them should fix it for you..

What ended up working, because I couldn't get into testmode, was updating the unit to 2.6 (which it did fine) then putting test mode on a SD, then wiping myflashdrive clean, and putting all new, virgin files on.

And it worked! Major thanks to another gsxr 1k!!!! He made it possible with the files, and answering my multitude of questions.

I love aciv411!!! And if I can be of any assistance, or answer any questions of my process, just ask! Then ask

another gsxr 1k for help! lol :D

I've got the same exact problem. Can you walk me through this procedure? I need to get this unit fixed ASAP. Thanks
