I just got an X9115bt and I understand it is the same as the 910 model. I am wondering what you guys think are some good essential mods for it. I have the bypass done.

Problems I have found:

It boots unbearably slow

It plays movies prior to the screen turning on and you miss a portion of the film, all buttons are inoperable during this warm-up

The GPS brings me the craziest ways that make no sense

I can't find a mute button (also can't find my manual)

When the GPS talks to you during a movie it stops the movie sound, I can turn the speech volume down but then you can't hear the warnings. I just want it to talk along with the movie not instead of.

It boots unbearably slow

Most likely you have the 2.x firmware, check and see. To check your firmware version.

1. Switch on your Navigation unit by switching on the ignition of your car. If you don’t see “Top Menu†displayed on top of the display, press the â€MENU†button

2. Select"Settings"

3. Select"SystemSettings"

4. Select"ServiceInformation"

5. You should see:

Map version: xx.xxxxxx Version: x.xxxxxx

If your "version is 2.xxxxx" then upgrading to the 3.x firmware will make the unit faster.

the upgrade to 3.x can be found here
