I think it sad that a multi-billion dollar company like Pioneer can not even keep up with Google Maps for their own $120 map update.
Oh well, maybe the 2011 or 2012 update might include road data from 2009 !!
You do know that Pioneer has nothing to do with the maps, other than paying for a redistribution licence and packing it on an SD card for retail, right? If your maps are wrong, complain to TeleAtlas or Navteq, they're the ones that make the maps.

Have at it.

Great link. Thanks !!
You know what? The map data is correct with the correct highway signs here on the link you posted. The date 2008 is down at the bottom of the map on the site. But yet the map data on my F700 with the 2010.06 maps is wrong.
I wonder what gives? I wonder if the upgrade on my F700 did not take?
I noticed the base map date in my device is still 2007. I wonder?
pardon the noob question
, but what is "DEM"? I downloaded the maps from here but i never got around to updating them. I notice the size is different between the two (not to mention i cant find "DEM"); are the ones that dragon24 posted different (and intended for F series specifically)? Thank you.
I would like to know this too. Noticed this got uncommented. Can anyone say what the "DEM" files do? Looks like they go into CONTENT/DEM.
It looks to be the Digital Elevation Map. It might be used for the 3D part of the nav i dont really know.

Landscape data files. THat's what lets iGO show all the nice mountains and valleys when you're driving around. Unless you live in the Rockies, though, you won't see all that much with or without them...
Anyone still have a link to the torrent?
Anyone still have a link to the torrent?
The torrent is in post one at the bottom.
It's contained in a .rar file and is called TeleAtlas.rar.
Download it, expand it, there you'll find it.
It worked for me.
Anyone have raidshare or megaupload links?

Thanks. Didn't realize the torrent files were contained in those rar files.
Will all these files fit on the F90BT? I noticed the MAP, DEM, and POI folders are about 300mb bigger then that from the 2009 package
or should I only replace the POI and MAP files that I will be mainly using...
I have the 2009 maps from the FX3.1 complete firmware update
After installing these maps my TTS has stop working for all langs. No sound comes out when these are selected. any non TTS langs work fine. Would could be going wrong? i have recopied the scansoft files and the voice zip. is there a place that holds just the TTS files that could be corrupted? do these new maps not support TTS?
the TTS works fine for me using the new maps
At the beginning of this topic "yeek" posted about having all of the content on his SD card. I'm trying to have the files in the CONTENT folder in two locations. Since the size of the maps update is too big for the 700bt I was going to put the POI folder on my SD card and everything else (that is suppose to go in the CONTENT folder) on the "My Flash Disk".
I had found a post from BorisM that said using this line in sys.txt:
[folders]
secondary_root="iGo"
would have the location- \Storage Card\iGo\Content\ - load content in addition to the -\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\Content- folder. Obviously I'm posting because I can't get it to work. Here's the layout of my directories for my sd card and flash disk:
sd card:
Storage Card\iGo\Content\POI\ (in here I have all the poi files, except Alabama poi file)
flash disk:
My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\Content\MAP
\DEM
\(the other folders)
\POI (only the Alabama poi file)
My sys.txt file has the following:
[folders]
data="\My Flash Disk\User\UserData\iGo"
secondary_root="iGo"
tts_nuance="\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\ScanSoft\RealSpeakSolo"
secondary_app="Storage Card/usericon,USB Disk/usericon"
usb_trackexport_path="\USB Disk"
storage_trackexport_path="\Storage Card"
When I turn the 700bt on the only POIs I can see are in alabama. Do I need to create the rest of the folders (MAP, DEM, etc.) in Storage Card\iGo\Content? Does the variable "secondary_root" just assume it's on the sd card?
Quick question if i already have tele atlas on my nav do i still need to download the tele atlas files for the update to work or can i just download the new map and poi and the hack files and put them and their respected folders?
what do i do with the canada.7z file?
Guys i'm having a few issues and just reverted back to my CNSD100 status.
1. neither the NA nor USA DEM files would not copy, they would get to about 30 secs left then dissappear. I checked my space and flash disk has 212mb free while the largest DEM was 177mb.
2. can these maps coincide with the default maps, i.e i only remove and copy 5 states while leaving others as is?
3. are you guys copying all the maps but using select POI files?
My question is: What are, or is, the Waters.rar file? ...and do we need it? Leaving it out will do what? Anything? Thanks for anyone who has the answer.
Wish I could say this worked for me. I checked over everything several times.
I put on my SD Card a Folder for the one DEM file, I copied the new License and hacked EZRider.exe into a folder called iGO. I downloaded all the maps and POI's. I extracted them all into a POI and MAP folder.
Ran out the car and booted up my SD Card. Deleted the Licenses and EZRider.exe. Deleted the contents of MAPS, POI and DEM. The only file I left in Maps was Basemap.fbl
When I was done copying everything over I turned the key off, removed the SD Card and turned the key back on. The Nav would boot up and then a "Fatal Error" box would pop up but not actually show you what the error was and then it would Reboot and repeat.
I tried copying everything twice, comparing file names and file sizes. NO GO!. I had to restore my backup files to get everything working again..
BUMMER!
Here are the TA maps of 2010.06. The complete USA, Canada & Mexico Maps & Premium POI's files. The DEM for North America, Canada & USA are also with this pack. If you want them. All the maps are in there own state rars so just get the ones you need. Like the state you live in & around you if you travel. This will save time & space on your unit.
IMPORTANT INFO
The maps will only work if you have a cracked EZrider & a Generic License Code. (NOT INCLUDED NOW INCLUDED)
If you don't have them, This update will not work on your unit. Use the maps at your own risk.
UPDATE: I added the cracked EZRider.exe & License files. Please make sure you back-up your files before you copy over them.
Tested on the Emulator & Still use at your own risk.
Here is a link to the 2009 map how to install:
Since the torrent seems to be dead. Here is a Direct Download to the TA 2010 Canada, Mexico & USA maps, POI & Dem Files. Download them all or just the ones you need. Don't forget the EZRider.exe hack if your just upgrading your maps.

This sucks.... 30 minutes between each download.
If you look at the bottom of the post there is a rar file that has a torrent inside it for all those links. You dont have to wait the 30 mins between files. Just use that torrent.

It looks like tomtom bought teleatlas a few years ago and magellan and tomtom are one. Would this mean that our teleatlas maps would be updated and be compatible with the tomtom maps, including the lastest updates?
However, here in Brazil a store that is used to put maps of Brazil in model X910BT, said to me that they did not succeed to do the same procedure with the model x9115BT. Thus, I am searching in this forum if anyone has actually managed to put maps of any other country in the modelX9115BT.
If someone has been successful, I would like to know how to do this, what is the difference in this procedure that have to be adopted to succeed.
I wonder if this Mexico Maps would work somehow in a x930bt, in fact i allready have teleatrasl updated maps form other navi system downloaded at navitotal.com, the thing is that i have any idea and haven´t found how to hack or modify this 930 OS any idea please let me know your help is very much appreciated.
greetings from Mexico
Thanks alot Dragon!
I was able to update my mas but now I have 2 problems. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.
My first issue is that my gps screen is black but my location indicator and the side pannels are only showing on the screen. so virtually, I cant see streets or anythign like that.
My second issue is that when my x910bt starts up, it says " System startup in progress. Please wait". On the 2009 map tread, the solution was that I copied the Wrong EZride.exe file. I cant download the right one since the link is discontinued.
Any solutions please?
What is the difference between teleatlas and dem north amer? do i need both?
