I paid $5.00 to unlock my original drive. This software unlocked the drive and left it blank. So I was unable to retrive my music library, But I can live with that.

The paid HDD unlock service with saved data works for European Avics as well. Off course it works for the hardware, but it also helped me to back up my HD3-II image and use it to upgrade my HD1BT.
