Oh, and the window with the emu messages gives me a lot of errors about unsupported code.

I did get the other emulator going. However, when I try that ezrider w/the config in yours it crashes.

Unsupported code messages are normal: this is only an emulator, not the actual ARM MCU as in your AVIC.

What is "other emulator going". You should try my ZIP package as it without using another EzRider.exe, just copy a map file, and make it work first before using anything else.

I tried that. It crashes at the GOEDB INITDBFILES. The last thing in the output window is "Calling CPUPowerReset"

That is really strange my friend! <_<

Don't try on 3 different PC at the same company ... because they might be under the same policies (which could prevent the Emulator from functioning); try one at you friend's house or something, or Windows XP etc.

Try to re-download the Emulator from the first post ... yours might be corrupt etc ...

Otherwise I don't know what to say ...

I'll try it on another machine. This is genuinely weird.

Forgot to mention that the map level smoothing routine is performed when there are changes in the current GPS time (every second) or the current traveling speed, so if you are in the PC emulation mode, the GPS time is not valid and the traveling speed is 99% of the time stable, therefore you won't see much change in the zoom level.

To do the minimum, there is a line at the beginning of the UI file chuck88.ui, that you can uncomment by removing the semi-colon ";" to enable the observer in function of the time to manuver. But even with this, the map level change won't be as smooth as when operating with the physical AVIC.

Hello Chuck. How can I access the main screen of the Avic software? I'm not using your gui, but the stock Pioneer gui. Every time I start the unit on the PC, the map comes up and I can't access the home screen (considering there is no menu button). Is it a command on the keyboard (cttl + H?).

Also, I was having the same problem as kruuth. Except I found a solution. By deleting most states located in the "MAPS" folder, the unit iGo software will boot properly and not crash. Any idea as to why this happens?

You CAN'T access the first level menu with CONTACT and A/V from the Emulator, simply because you start the iGo with EzRider.exe.

Tel.exe and AV.exe are NOT supported in the WinCE5 Emulator.

Thanks for insight for kruuth's problem. I think that I suggested copying only "a map" = "one map" to the igo\Content\map folder, but I don't know whether he did that, AND YES, the Emulator supports ONLY ONE map, without the BASEMAP.FBL file (so only one file in the map folder). This is in the instructions of the first post (step 4).

I also have Bill Gates' email address if you want ... just joking!

Ok I can get to the main menu but that's all I can do...can't see the map. It crashes. I'm using texas.fbl as my map. Ideas Chuck?

You have to delete the basemap.fbl file. Only put one .fbl file in the map folder.

Thank you very much chuck88.

My f900bt is ce4.2 and your ce emulator 5.0. If you have a ce 4.2 image (nk.bin) can you give me.

I successfully running igo in emulator.

But pioneer unit it can't be run, "main screen loading.." and rebooting.. I think ce versions different.

I believe that you cannot run my mod in WinCE 4.2, but only in 5.0. You would also have to upgrade your F900BT to firmware 3.xx or 4.xx in order to use my mod.

Sorry but I don't have the CE image for v4.2.

firmware 3.xx

win ce 4.2

firmware 4.xx is not offical (100fm) its only exe files update.

HI Chuck88,

Very interested in your emulator, great job , I can get it start and run but can't get the gps to connect, any ideas. Also if it's possible can I get Garmin XT to run on your emulator, I'd like to try Igo and Garminxt.

One more thing Can I get IGO to start immediately through your emulator.

You won't get a gps signal on the emulator....your pc doesn't have a gps antenna .However you can simulate a route.

I do have a GPS connected to my PC, my other programs that I run on my PC like Garmin for PC run OK with the GPS. How about GarminXT running on this emulator, "How to".

I fixed mine. Took out that basemap.fbl and it's working fine. I'd like to pick your brain about the data.zip if possible chuck. Is there a way to contact you?

Hey Chuck,

Looks like you've done some great work here! Could you let me know where you got that WinCE 5.0 Emulator? It's the only one I've ever been able to find that works both on virtual machines and Windows 7x64. The reason I ask is because I need to find / build one that will work with my network card and havent been able to get this one to work.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Good question! I believe that I got either the link or the entire emulator from one of the post of this forum, and then I just repackage with all necessary files (only missing map) to ease searching for other members.

I'm curious as on what you want to do with the network card and the emulator, though.

It seems that 4shared does not want to allow me to download this file without sharing all of my personal information. is there another site link? or a torrent?

Bump on this? Need a valid download link please :(

Does anyone still have access to this file? I'm running AVICnet 2.1 for AVIC F series but trying to integrate it with Chuck88's Mod v3.4b with Pioneer FW 4.0 and Primo 2.0 because my Reverse Camera works with Chuck88's mod but not with Avic.net. 2.1. I came close last night but got an error about an abb1 scheme missing (i think it was a scheme file) but i don't have access to my avic all day so having the WinCE 5.0 Emulator with Chuck88's iGO Nav Mod would be nice.

P.S. Chuck88 if your still around I read on the Avic.net forum where you mentioned that you had successfully completed this. Any chance you could upload the complete Flash Disk
