The only solution for me is to kill the appradio extensions, kill the appradio app and then recharging it on the appstore. Then I can use the app on my radio again...

Try turning off "Skip Launch Video" in the settings.

Will, have you gone into the "settings" and activated the different options?

This isn't in the settings prompt when you launch the app but the actual "iPhone" settings.

Hello everyone, I just installed the appradio in my car and was wondering first how you install this extension and also if you have problems with it can you go back to normal. Also is a jailbroken iphone needed after it has been installed?

So...... did you even bother to read the first post that started this thread? Maybe you should have another look at the beginning of the thread for an answer to your question. And yes, you can remove the extension if you want.

There's probably a conflict with another mobilesubstrate plugin. If you find a conflict, let me know and I'll install the it on my phone for testing.

I don't think there is a conflict because I have instaled your 1.0 appradio extensions and that works great!

I have problems seens I have installed the 1.0.2-1!

I have no other than basic cydia apps on the phone...

Just got everything installed today and so far I'm really optimistic about the future of this device.

Big thanks to Mike for the extensions app. The ability to go back to the app list through the head is game changing. I really hope the appradio takes off like some of the other pioneer heads and Pioneer and the user community get deeply involved and this thing continues to grow.

Question for Mike. Sometimes when using MotionX, with an actual route in progress, I'll use the home key to go do something in Pandora. On occasion, but not everytime, my route get cancelled, yet other times it keeps going, even still announcing turns by voice.

I noticed that too. I don't think the apps have much support for redrawing screens when switching apps. There is a bug in Rdio as well with redrawing objects on the screen. When you have music playing before you plug in the phone and you plug it in to the car, the playlist doesn't always show in the now playing window.

I'm not doing anything special to switch apps, but just in case it's a bug in my code:

Do you know if it was a problem before you installed my extension?

Can you reproduce it by pressing the home button and selecting a different app (instead of using the on screen button)?

I was thinking about something funny like "facetime" ( i remember the film with shwarzy...total recall for some of us who remember when he was on video conference on the car ...lol )

or simply "knight rider" lol

anyway the display out app can help on that.

Hi, I finally found what was the problem...

The appradio app is crashing when I turned on "skip launch video" in the appradio extensions... an only with that.

So, Mike, if you can see where is the problem?

iOS 5 broke almost everything except the home buttons. They made some pretty big changes to the operating system so it may take me a while to get everything working again. I'll keep everyone posted. You can follow me on twitter for more frequent updates, @mikedecaro.

I noticed in the car today that, maybe as a byproduct of the new notification center, there's a square, mid screen popup displayed with basic notification info on screen now. "text from Bob 1:23" "AVSForum 2:14" etc.

Any chance of seeing an update to this? I really miss some of the functionality, especially having notifications relayed to the display.

I'm on 4.2.1 and I've had a similar issue as Willsnope mentioned. No matter what changes I make in this app's settings, I cannot get any changes to be noticed on the AppRadio itself. =-/

I'm having trouble using the app radio extension app, and custom wallpapers do they have to be a certain size? every pic i click it doesn't do anything.

Just an update on the status of this tweak. Life got kinda busy right around when Apple released iOS 5.x and the update completely broke almost every setting. Now that I have some more time, I'm going to try to update this for iOS 5. I'll see if I can get 4.x working once I'm done with 5.x, but I usually only focus on the newest iOS version. I'll keep everyone posted.
