Thats exactly my point. Its not a Subscription if it came free with the car and you may or may not use it. To subscribe to something requires you to pay for it, which isn't happening with a huge amount of OEM radios.
I don't believe everything on 100 and 101 and only know so much because I own stock in both companies.
And since your so fond of google searches and a sirius expert, how come you never mention that Howard's 100 million per year includes production costs? Howards salary for the five years is only 150 million total. Everything else is stock bonuses. I'm not saying that they didn't overpay, but I for one hope he hits every subscriber bonus in his contract because that means their number is going up, which makes me money.
Keep rooting for XM because that makes me money too, but don't believe everything you read on XMfan.com
You are quite wrong my friend. Read the Yahoo stock boards or whereever. XM counts active subscriptions. Yes even the free ones that OEM's gave free for a few months. As Jason said, Sirius counts unactivated tuners, especially in OEM cars as they sit in the lot unsold. To Sirius, an unactivated radio sitting in a box still counts as a subscriber because "one day someone will buy the damn thing".
He wouldn't have made 589,000,000 alone without those two ridiculously large bonuses..Youre right, it would have been only 500,000,000 without the bonuses. Which is still WAY too much for a "washed up has been" DJ since that's what Howie used to call satellite radio DJ's.
Oh well, not our money and I am happy he is there for me to listen to while flipping from channel to channel when XM gets me stuck in traffic.Thats cool with me. Just don't believe everything you hear on Sirius 100 or 101. Of course he is going to say exactly what makes him and Sirius sound good. Like we always say here, search is your best friend. Google.com will enlighten you, not someone who doesn't care about the fans anymore. just money.
Only took a day for the FCC to go from NO to well, Maybe.

And brought both stocks back up for us too! woo hoo moneyyyyyyyyy LOL
No, not really. I would have to call it expected. Pioneer's navigation system was substandard in the first place. Why would adding an extra layer of complexity help it any?Lately, the damn XM Navtraffic gets me stuck in traffic and I listen to Sirius until I get home. Ironic isn't it?
I know your pissed about your nav, I read your whole other thread. No need to bring it in the XM section. Both my navs work great. Sorry yours doesn't. And the traffic flow being crappy can't really be blamed on Pioneer, maybe not even XM if they aren't receiving updates quick enough in my area, but that I will never know
I’m sorry, would you rather I kept my observations to myself? I have to guess that your unit is the same as mine, so it has the same defects as the one in my car. You’ve made the decision to tout this unit as a realistic navigation device but I don’t.I know your pissed about your nav, I read your whole other thread. No need to bring it in the XM section. Both my navs work great. Sorry yours doesn't.
Are you asking me to sit here quietly and allow others to spend thousands of dollars on a device that is of such substandard quality?
I will be the first person to say that this is a great CD storage device, and that the other options are simply fantastic. But anyone looking for an accurate navigation system is going to get burned.
And yes, I am pissed. When a company advertises a product as being a first class nav system, and then acts like a problem doesn’t exits when it does, is just too much for me to accept.
Here is a simple test of what I say. Find one person that makes his living driving a big rig for his living and is getting 3 miles per gallon that thinks his Pioneer nav system is an asset. Or maybe one ambulance driver that feels going miles out of his way is beneficial to his primary goal?
Nope, isn’t going to happen. And why can’t you find these people? Because none of them feel that the Pioneer nav can get them from point a to point b with any kind of efficiency, either in time or distance. Sorry man, but it is what it is, and Pioneer is pushing a navigation product that is simply not dependable.
No I think he means we don't need to read the exact same post complaining about how much you hate your avic every single time you post. If you hate it that much then why not take it out and sell it. I'm sure there's plenty of people here willing to take it off your hands.
OK, you're right. I'll be quiet now.No I think he means we don't need to read the exact same post complaining about how much you hate your avic every single time you post. If you hate it that much then why not take it out and sell it. I'm sure there's plenty of people here willing to take it off your hands.
But hey, I did say it was a great CD storage device and the other options are simply fantastic. ![]()
After you take it out to sell to cntrylvr79, give the Jensen or Eclipse a try, or the kenwood. Then you will want your Z1 back and I am sure he won't charge that much more to buy it back ![]()
Dammit, Jim, they're doing the best they can!

Lately, the damn XM Navtraffic gets me stuck in traffic and I listen to Sirius until I get home. Ironic isn't it?
