Hi all! I have some issues with my ipod youch 4g:

I succesfully installed all stuff from faq. My ipod have ios 6.1.6 and all latest apps required.

1. i use activator to start appradio app at charging and want to kill appradio at discharging. How can i do it with activator? i installed quitall extention from cydia, but it dont kill nothing. How to do it in ios?

2. when appradio app starts, it require user confirmation to stream image to headunit. How to bypass it? Its really annoing to search my ipod in glovebox and touch buttons on it.

3. How to use unapproved apps with headunit? i enabled some apps (yandex navi and cityguide) in extentions, when i start them from appradio app, they freeze. also any system unapproved app freese and crash. When i start them manually from ipod before appradio app, they starts ok.

4. How to use landscape rotation? i installed sbrotator, but it can rotate only system apps. How to rotate any app automatically after appradio starts? When i start any app before appradio app, they rotate ok.

5. gps location is really crappy. Before i used ARU with android tv stick, gps location workd like a charm. In headunit settings i see 6-12 fixed satellites, so with gps antenna all ok. But ipod dont see satellites. At first it give location from cells (i use wifi over my phone). real gps location in idop i catch after 15-20 minutes after hu start, but as i wrote above-real gps fix headunit takes after some seconds. Where i was wrong?

6/ How to dimm ipod screen? when appradio app works my ipod very hot.

Landscape Lock can be selected in the Settings-AppRadio Extensions.

What version of AppRadio App are you using, it must be 2.5.0 or lower(linked a page or 2 back)

Hi!  i know about this option, but all apps that run in portrait orintation dont rotate automatically. I use latetest appradio app from appstore.

That version doesn't work with AppRadio extensions. You need to uninstall it and install the version linked a page or 2 back.

Is there anyway in iOS 7 to simply suppress the "AppRadio Appadio would like to communicate with the Pioneer AV receiver".  If I could get that, I would be so happy :-)

Dont hit the AR icon on the screen and open all apps from the phone. Other then that the answer is no.

My phone is a full time glove box device, so its an issue.  I have a jailbroken ios7 and set up a bunch of tweaks and was wondering where this message is coming from (library wise) and I can try and write a Flex tweak or even my own extension.

Thanks!

Well if you have that ability then go for it. Anything is possible if someone finds an exploit. If you succeed lets us know.

Guys, I have a big problem: i resed my ipod4 and refresh ios 6.1.6 via itunes. I broke jail, installed appradio app from appsore. When i connect my ipod to headunit, together with appradio app i catch message that i need DisplayUnit app from appstore, but there is nothing. So when i launch any approved appradio app like waze or carmediaplayer i have a bluescreen on my headunit. What is wrong?

I'll admit to being behind the 8 ball, but I cannot get the IOS7 github to compile.  Anyone had luck urning this into a .deb?

Thanks!

To my knowledge there are no developers on this thread so no one is going to know what you are talking about. So....... what are you talking about?

The AppExt for IOS7. Does anyone have a working procedure for install?

I would love to know this too. Although apparently it doesn't really do much. No touch input or anything

Well sense it's not compatible with iOS7 the answer is no.

Mike posted the source code for ios7 on github.  This is ios7 compatible and, as of now, only backgrounds the appradio app.  Cydia apps are packaged deb files from source code, this is raw source code, just not sure how to create a deb as all my attempts seem to fail.

It still doesn't accomplish what AppEx is suppose to accomplish then it's not compatible.

It is compatible with ios7, it backgrounds the appradio app on ios 7. That's the first step towards getting appex working on ios7.

Is there any real hope for getting AppEx or another extension like it to work on IOS 7? It's the only reason I jailbroke my 4s. I run Life360 which appears to have issues with IOS 7.0.6 & the jailbreak is preventing me from updating. If there is no real hope in getting AppEx to run on IOS 7 the need for a stable Life360 is outweighing my need for the jailbreak.

I would say no at this point.

I downloaded the source code from github as well and when I went to compile the code initially in Sublime it failed because I was missing some of the necessary api's or environment paths for THEOS. I googled and downloaded the necessary api's and setup the necessary THEOS directories but now I'm getting a compile error of "clang: error: cannot use 'objective-c++-cpp-output' output with multiple -arch options". Never developed apps for the iPhone before so I'm not really sure how to resolve the issue.

Posted Aug 07, 2014 · 06:02 UTC#2300

Ok, I fixed the last error by switching the Build System to "THEOS make package install", but now I'm getting the following error: "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/usr/bin/make package requires dpkg-deb."
