Hey osuv you might want to consider some touchup paint or silicone around that hole to prevent the bare metal edge from rotting.
My New Z1 Camera Is Awesome During Day & Night- See Pics
Good observation,
I bought a tube of clear silicone to do just that but I don't own a garage and it states on the tube that it must setup in a temperature of 40 degrees or higher. So I'm taking it to my bros garage this weekend. I am going to use touchup paint first and then use silicone.
Again, good eye.
Cheers,
Kevin
I just got all the equipment shipped that you have on your list minus the sat and camera.
As for the camera, just don't go to NYC, it just screams "Come and get me" ![]()
I am still locking for a smaller camera, one that is not as obvious. ![]()
Hey,
Maybe with a camera on your vehicle, thieves would think that your vehicle is constantly under surveillance. He He He!
Cheers,
Kevin
You are probably right, it is just that in summer I will take that roof off and put on a rag top or no roof at all. You can see my point. ![]()
I have seen a small round camera drilled into the bumper of a Jeep, just got to find one that is short and good.
Yeah,
The small cams are nice and have the advantage of discretion however, due to their smaller lens size and lack of LEDs, you sacrifice image quality and night vision. I guess it's a trade-off and just depends on what is most important to you.
But when you buy your camera, make sure it has a CCD lens and not a junk CMOS lens, and look for one with as many lines of resolution as possible.
May the force be with you!
Kevin
I agree as far as the camera is concerned, I have on on order with night vision.
I like that location up to a point. I have a trailer hitch and guess what happens when you miss and the trailer tongue hits the bumper? ![]()
If the night vision is an issue you can always pick up outboard ir blasters. Basically a bunch of ir leds that mount up the same way as a camera.
That is a thought ![]()
