Just talked with the guy at Al and Ed's Autosound and he said my Z2 will be here and ready to install by March 15. This information is directly from his Rep at Pioneer. I Paid $1,995.00 for the unit and I cant wait to use this thing in my 2007 Tahoe.

Damn really???? Are you sure he didnt just confuse the D3 for the Z2, and over charge you? Maybe I have dealt with too many contractors and am always sceptical when things come sooner than expected.
Well I finally got an installer with a Z1. He is installing it Sunday.
All the others say the end of the summer.

Damm, $1,995.00?? I can't believe they would drop the price on a unit that is just coming into production. Thats great news for you. I hope they put the upgrade disks out soon for the rest of us.
I talked to a salesman at sound advice that i am friends with and he also said the list price was going to be $1995 and a release sometime in march. its all hearsay at this point...

Yeah, i was told mine will be in on the 26th of this month. 
damn tightness. Well, in my QA friends defense, havent talked to him about any new Z2 updates since last 2 months,
sigh........ got some bad news this past weekend. Went up to the place where I purchased my z2 from (wanted to go ahead and throw in the bluetooth capabilty as well as steering wheel control) and got told that NOW they are saying mid April. However, I was told that the mid april time frame could be for their mass shipment, and that (depending on release date form Pioneer) that they can get single pre-ordered units ahead of the mass shipment date.
More to come im sure....... starting to get impatient though. I was hoping I could get my springs and my z2 installed around the same time. Oh well....

Bummer, dont suppose you have any inside info though, about Pioneers release date? I would think, regardless of when the mass shipments start, that their date is their date. But, then again, I dont know how the process works anyway.

No, once they are readily available I think you will see them for 700-800 on ebay. You will likely have warranty issues with that though, thats why the Crutchfield deal is so good
