I am following the instructions to unlock the HDD and keep it unlocked. I am trying to use the recommended MHDD software, but I can't get it to recognize any hard drives on my computer. Nothing seems to work.
Is there any other software to remove the security that anybody can recommend?

nevermind, I got it to work. I think I needed to extract the files that were created in the boot disk.
what can you acomplish with this? can you gain acess to ghost an image from the oem hdd (30gb) and upgrade it to a bigger hdd to put on avic-z2?
I would assume that you could...
The only problem is restoring an image to a different sized drive.
I believe somebody did a successful HDD upgrade from 30 to 40Gig.

ok so he/she increased the size but is it useable? say does the z2 reconise it and let you burn more music into it after 30 gb?
