I just got the CD-BTB200. I was excited as you could imagine. Only to be shot down. I have a Sprint Treo 700W and it finds the unit when I search says it pairs after I enter the code. Then when I search from the head unit, it finds the phone, but then the phone acts like it's a new connection every time. By the time I enter the 0s again, it says no connection. It's really pissin me off. Does anyone know anything about this??

There has to be a way to pair this phone. I have an older RAZR and it took me a few to figure it out. Now I have to pair everytime I get in the car (grant or deny) but that's about it.

Your phone should connect, I would think, being newer.

I tried every way in the world to pair them. I gave up and packed it up. I bought the D3 in order to use all these options and I just keep getting let down. It's gettin' old. So if anyone reading this wants a CD-BTB200 I'll sell it for the price I paid, $185.

Mine works just fine. I've used several blackberries. It connects as soon as I turn the car on.

Nice "pioneer logo"! I wish I had that one as my startup. :)

I love it. I did have to replace my verizon phone w/ another unit which was more compatible. GF also loves hers. No echoes, good SQ.

The biggest challenge w/ this unit is making sure your phone works with all the features you'd like. Some phones only work w/ partial features.

I am using a hacked HTC S620 (using HTC Beta Windows Mobile 6 ROM), and it works no problems, except there is no contact list push.

I love this unit!!

JETWARE.COM is all I have to say! Free to try, $14.95 one time fee after, and it made my Treo work flawlessly! Every option available works now!!!

HTC P4350 and the BT-200 works at last.

Used Jetware to pair with the smartphone and WM5.0

Used pocketinformant to beam all my contacts at once to the Avic D3.

When i am using my nokia N73 sometimes sound is transfered very late from the phone to the BT module.

If the one being called pick up the phone right away the voices from the caller and the reciever isn't transferd right a way.

I didn't have to sell it. I used that Jetware the person above me was talkin' about. It works great. Sorry.

Time to change the title of this thread to "I am pleased with the CD-BTB200"

I wouldn't completely agree, but you're kinda right. I think I shouldn't have had to pay $15 more for a program to use the $180 adapter for my $1000 stereo. Know what I mean? I think Pioneer should have done a little more R&D before the release is all.

Thadius,

I think your blame is partly misplaced. The root of the problem is the WM bluetooth stack not the btb-200. I lost most of the functionality using my ppc-6700 with the acura tl factory bluetooth until I installed the Jetware software. So if anything be upset that your $500-$600 smartphone can't perform properly without the aid of a $15 software.

Still pleased with my bluetooth adapter. It even works with AT&T's push to talk.

Im trying to use the jetware but I am having problems installing it on my phone. Can anyone give me a break down

I cant find the phone id number anywhere!! on my Palm Treo 700w

Posted Aug 06, 2007 · 00:50 UTC#21

Phone ID#? I just installed the jetware and it worked. When are you needing a ID#?

Posted Aug 06, 2007 · 03:36 UTC#22

in order for me to order it over paypal it is asking for my id number

Posted Aug 07, 2007 · 18:10 UTC#23

If you go to jetware.com you get it for free for 30 days. I haven't paid for it yet so I'm not sure what ID they're asking for. Email Jetware on their site. I'd imagine they'd know.

I am happy with the Bluetooth BTB200 interface. Its not perfect, but has good sound quality for both ends of the connection and having hands-free is definitely a safety feature. I have a BB Pearl (ATT service) and had to update the software on the Pearl to synch the phonebook, but it all works well now. I think the BTB200 has a cumbersome phonebook interface, so I usually use the actual phone to quickly search for names and call directly from the phone (which is to say that I hit send on the phone, but it connects through Bluetooth and thus becomes a hands-free call). I do like having the caller ID on the D3 for incoming calls though. And, it synchs up pretty fast with the phone. Overall, I would recommend the BTB200/Pearl combo.

jetwaremobile.com worked great for my pocket pc phone. I was ready to rip the whole unit out cause i couldnt get it to work. I finally came in here and read about jetware. My Verizon XV6700 now works perfectly with it. I tried it on my roomate's samsung pocket pc as well and it works now too. Well worth the 15 bucks
