Pioneer has posted updated firmware version 3.002 for the Z130BT and Z930BT on their website http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Downloads on 05 DEC 2014 to fix a USB charging issue.  

If I install this, will the map update from http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/38472-2013-usacan-maps-download/ still work?

Are you still running v3.0x firmware? Why?  This fix (3.002) only installs if the current version is 3.000 or 3.001.  From the instructions: "If the "Application Version" number is "3.002" or a later/larger number, the system has already been updated with the latest firmware and no further action is necessary.".

The 2013 upgrade (v5.0) would overwrite the 3.0x firmware as well as the maps.
