I am new here and i am in the possibilty to buy a second hand F900BT.
Now i have read some good and many bad things about this product 
Now i first want to know what i have to do to get an acceptable working F900BT system?
What updates/firmware i need to install? Any tips for me?? Is there already a 2015 navigation MAP available?
I hope you can help me guys!

Sorry i don't understand. Do i have to download the latest firmware from the Pioneer site?http://www.pioneer.eu/nl/support/software/AVIC-F900BT/page.html
And after the update i can install the latest 2014 map by following the link you put into the reply? Or do i need to install customized firmware before i can install the latest navigation map?

Today i have installed the F900BT. For now it is working fine. The radio response quickly and the startup-time is okay!
As far as i can see i have map version: 02.000600 and firmware 3.020200
Because the F900BT is working fine for me and therefore (in my opinion) no firmware update is necessary i only want to update the navigation software.
Is this possible and what exactly do i need to do to get the latest navigation software? Do i only have to replace the MAP, POI and BUILDING in the internal drive/flash disk?
And to make a backup of the whole F900BT software i just have to copy the files and directories available on the internat drive to my SD card?
Please help me with this. I will appreciate!

Hiya I can see lots of people have had the same problem as me here. Ive also got the f900bt and tried to update the firmware and map pack from pioneer web page with no joy version 1 map and version 2 firmware . ive followed the instructions to the best of my knowledge but got nowhere as the file i downloaded did nothing when i put it in the sd slot. Please if anyone can help with updates i would appreciate it very much.

Did you allready try to put both firmware files (WINCEIMG.BIN and WINCEIMG.CKS) on the root of the SD card and flash the system with these files?
To get into the flash menu press the following buttons in the same time: menu button, map button and eject button. also press the reset button with a stylus pen. In the black screen retire the stylus of reset and in the blue screen take your fingers of the 3 buttons. In the blue screen use the following code with the joystick: up, up , down, press menu button, left, right and press the center of the joystick to valid. After this you wil get a menu and select "0" and upgrade with SD card (without a format!) . The new firmware will be installed.
