direct music transfer (stored where?)

all ready to load my new HD w/ the Z2 but wanted to know if anyone here has transferred there music as well.

from what I can see it looks like it is stored under the MSV folder. over 1000 folders names 001 and so on. I was thinking about loading 1 song per folder and also looks like you can add a image as well.

Has anyone done this yet?

I don't think anyone has done it yet....at least not from what I have read thus far....

but from what I read and in particularly from PulpFiction's sticky...it reminds me alot of when I was into modding the original Xbox...with the unlocks and the 4 partitions....and data structure...and it would make sense being that the Z2 is supposedly running Windows Automotive.....but if memory serves me correctly.....the music file names are encrypted so to speak....and read out gibberish on a PC....in which I want to say was a 16 character hexidecimal file name....

if I remember correctly there was an app that could read those files and convert them back to the Artist/album info( I think WinHex)....but since the ripping function is ran by GraceNote....I highly doubt it would work....

on the other hand....I may see if I can fire up one of those old modded Xbox's and see if I can't unlock my own Z2 drive....

well took out my Z1 to take a look as I got some music there. Can't find anything that would relate to any music.

so is it encrypted Im sure it is.

but I did find out other things like .gif images and other images in different location. gotta to play around more and see what else I can find.

I don't have anything to look at...right now....but whatever you are thinking is your music.....maybe try to convert it from hex to binary to "English".....

I know it's a slim shot.....an I'm farting out my mouth(drank a couple)....but I have yet to unlock and look through the files.....

but it could be something simple.....although as optimistic as I am....I highly doubt.....
