Not sure if this helps you can do a map search of an area in the pic to get a comparison. The new maps seem more accurate than previous, but I'm not 100% if they are actually better. I just updated them so I will share once I get to see more lanmarks and stuff. One thing I recall is that it did update alot of 3d landmarks in the update. If you don't travel out of state much I would pay for just the update for your region. $129.99 is a bit steep

Hey, thanks for uploading these 3 pictures of the new maps.  This helps.

Welcome, not a prob. I don't recall how they used to look on my last 8100 before I sold it but it does seem to be a considerable upgrade as one of the other posters mentioned. I wouldn't pay the 129.99 if you don't travel much, I would just buy the update for your region.

I have the 9.18.28.610126 version, so basically the 2015 Q2 one.  Other commentary to note, is that it now uses basic landmarks to assist with the turns as well.  For example the new version will tell you on the screen and verbally to make a "right just before the CVS Pharmacy".  That is different from the earlier version.  Also the 3D is pretty cool when you enter a major city.

the POI's at turns might be a 2015 thing... didn't have the earlyer NEX to know .. 8)

My 8200NEX map update is crashing at 68% on California. Same issue someone stated above.

It wasn't working on my Windows box, and they are trying to figure out why... It would get about 1/2 way and then stop and error out...   till then I'll see it this works.  8)

If you want the complete set, yes.

You can click "add to drive", then login to your google drive and download the folder in one swoop

Sorry, did not think about that I added a zip file of the folder and included files.  You just need to be sure to have the synctool folder in the root of the SD card.

Did you just copy the synctool update to a drive and hit update? no need for license or anything?
