I hit Reset while Driving

and now, none of my accessories seem to work. I was having issues with the GPS position being off, and usually it would fix itself within ten minutes of driving. But it started happening every time I got into my truck. So I had the bright idea that it maybe a little confused and needed a reset. So I took a pen out of my center console and stabbed the reset button.

It reset, booted up, and the map was still off and has not been right since. Also, now none of my accessories work. So I figured WTH. Maybe I would install the freeze fix for the hell of it, and who knows, maybe it will magically fix everything. Well the fix updated without a hitch, but still, nothing works.

the GPS is still wrong

the BT doesn't appear to work

Rear view cam doesn't work

my steering wheel control adapter still works, and everything else seems to function alright. My next stab is to maybe disconnect the battery and let it sit and forget everything.

any suggestions is greatly appreciated...

Go into the menu and turn your camera back on. It defaults to OFF

Do you have your VSS connected and antenna mounted in a good location?

Ok...I feel stupid... :roll::oops:

I do have the VSS hooked up, and I installed the antenna under the slotted "vents" in my dash, as per this guy's install(03 Chevy SS). It's perched on a little metal tab that is directly under those vents. I also used the magnetic tape that was supplied. It has worked flawlessly, up until now.

the first time I fired up the unit, I did have to drive around a bit, for it to finally get right(about 50ft off) but after that, I had no issue with it being off for a couple of months. It just recently started to do this, and even more recent for it to do it nearly every time I get in the truck.

apart from it being off, everything seems to be working again. The problem with the cam was me having a brain-fart moment, and the problem with the BT was actually my Iphone, as I just I went to re-pair it, and the phone stated no SIM. I rebooted the phone, did a re-pair. Now it's back to normal. I was worried as I don't recall seeing the BT connection notifications. But it was just my phone taking a dump.

I went ahead and adjusted my current location. Maybe it'll make it easier for it to tell where it's at. I'll have to drive it around some more to see if it can't get right. Unfortunately, if not, I guess I may need to find another gps antenna location...

Thanks a ton whtcrx.... I wonder just how long it would have taken me to figure that out...

Nope, the map is still off. And so is the speedo on the Vehicle Dynamics view.

I don't get it. Being that it was working fine up until now, could my splice to the VSS be making a crappy connection or not connected at all?

I'm a little lost with this system, as it seems to monitor vehicle speed, use built in accelerometers, and GPS to display the vehicle's position on the map. Instead of your everyday antenna talks to satellite type GPS.

if I was getting no satellite reception, or poor reception, it would tell me right?

I'm by no means a pro at this system but maybe I can offer some advice. While your parked go into the hardware settings and make sure your GPS antenna is green with a bunch of antennas which mean you have a good link.

Another thing I noticed that while driving, your VSS will show you increasing in speed on the same screen as above. Maybe you can make sure it does this.

Can anyone elaborate on my ideas. I may be steering him in the wrong direction but being wrong is better then not trying anything at all.

Ya, and while you are in that connection status screen, start driving and see if you get a reading for VSS information. It beeps at you while moving if connected

Welp, it turns out that the excess length of the antenna wire, that I have zip-tied up, somehow popped up and cover up the antenna.

So I'm back and 100% operational. I appreciate the help fellas....You guys/gals rock.
