Hello everyone,

In searching I have founds parts of my question answered but want to make sure it pertains to my situation.

I had a friends used d1 installed at a pro shop into my car and it worked perfect. The shop didn't do any type of bypass but when it was complete, I could enter the address's while in motion and even had the video feed from the back dvd player playing in the front.

So anyways I went and ruined it all.

I got the 2007 update disc and loaded it on and the other day, immediately after I could still enter address while in motion. So I assumed I was all set.

Well the next day I started the car put in an address and off I went.

Mid trip my address search is non functional, the poi search works though.

Even if I stop and put on the e-brake the address search is non functional.

On top of that when I go to the AV source for the video it has a warning and says it is strictly prohibited and doesn't allow it - that is new.

I guess the 2007 update hosed my system.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get my unit address search functional again? Or any advice on why it is non functional?

Thanks!

Do the bypass and it will be functional again

Similar, but no. There is an open hole in the main power harness on the D1. Use a wire you are not using and stick it in that hole. Then ground that wire and the light green parking brake wire and you should be good to go

Thanks very much I appreciate it.

I am bringing it back today to the installer.

Just so I am clear, is there only 1 open hole? I want to make sure the guy puts it in the right one.

I also heard just placing a switch on the green wire will take care of this issue. Is that true?

Thanks!!!

Yes, there is only one open hole. If he has extra pioneer harnesses around, he can just pull a wire/pin out of that one and stick it in the open hole. Then ground that wire and the parking brake.

A switch alone won't do it. It will only give you the option to turn off the bypass if you have someone else driving your car, or get pulled over.

Thanks very much I appreciate it.
