I can't remove it since it is helpful for older units, and I'm not in the business of censoring posts, however I have added a warning as requested.

Fixed the links here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35-step-by-step-guide-to-making-custom-backgrounds/?p=118
Some sort of link weirdness from the multiple forum updates I suspect, as the files were still there.

Not sure what happened to PIMViewer, I'll take a look, but PIMMGR is here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/29-custom-pim-image-application/?p=105

FTP is out of the question, however you can upload files to forum posts.

Some of the purchased map updates require a password retrieved from Pioneer's site: https://www.pioneernavigationupdate.com/navigationupdate/

If you want it to work properly, you'll need the real deal: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter

If you're reading this, you're on the new Google Compute Engine powered site!
If you see any issues with the site, please reply to this topic.
Thanks,

Most of my contacts have left Pioneer, as such, we haven't been invited to CES since 2011.
However, I did create a forum here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/forum/63-nex/

You either need to connect the parking/hand brake wire or preform the bypass.
-
I don't remember the procedure but I'm sure it's around here somewhere. There's a way to "erase" the flash memory in the service menu and then reload from the disc.
-
Probably need a powered/diversity antenna adapter.
-
Very unlikely; totally different hardware, but who knows.
-
Select the TTS voice in the settings.
-
Check the reverse wire going to the app radio. It sounds like the reverse wire is getting 12 volts making the appradio think the car is in reverse.

Just about anything is smaller than WAV files. 256k MP3 should work nicely. If the mp3 files have proper IC3 tags, they'll be displayed.

I tried 5 different flash drives non of them work for the new update
Are they Fat32 formatted?
-
Second, I learned from last update that the update file and USB thumb drive can be very finicky. I tried several USB drives as did my local Best Buy. We finally got one to work. But it took several iterations to get to that point. ALong the way I got errors saying there was more than 1 file in the root location, as well as cant ready USB.
So just try a few or if you have a local auto shop, see if the have had success.
I can vouch for that. A lot of the "modern" flash drives have issues because they're not strictly a USB Mass Storage Device. A lot of flash drives have U3, or other features that interfere with units like the AVIC.
The most basic the flash drive the better. Most of the older 2GB and smaller ones should work without a problem.

Just turn Aux on in the menu and then select it as your source. Although, I am curious as to why you used a IPBus RCA instead of the built in input.
-
I believe on the 920 it's over one spot.
-
The (correct) bypass allows for full features at any speed.
-
That's not the bypass; all they did was put a switch on the parking break which doesn't do anything.
Actual bypass: http://avic411.com/index.php?showtopic=14761
-
The bypass has nothing to do with the VSS. If it's not working, it's not bypassed correctly.

I feel ARLiberator makes the appradio transparent and allows you to use the radio just like it was your phone. No, I'm not paid to be writing this. The dev for this app has put in countless hours to make everything work. Your radio will be what it should have been from the beginning.

Huh? I don't work for Pioneer nor is this site connected with them in any way.
