  1. I have a 2011 subaru sti that has installed X940bt along with Axxess ASWC recently.

Let just say the auto detection for all of the steering control buttons sucks. Anyway, I had to manually program all of the buttons. However, I dont seem to find the option of voice command or pop up the phone menu from the Axxess' installation manual. Can anyone give me some help?

I do remember before I programmed all of the buttons, there was one button could bring up the phone menu but since the rest of the buttons are not doing the proper function, i had no choice but to manually program them.

  2. I downloaded the ipod_24.1.0.2 firmware and tried this solution

    download the firmware

    place it on your desktop

    go to itunes

    hold shift and click restore

pick your new firmware on your desktop

and let it do its thing

I hold shift and click restore...it said they cant find any firmware

then i tried this solution instead

    http://spr33.co.uk/wp/archives/downgrad ... re-102-101

i cant even find the folder in my vista in step 3

  3. only 1.0.2 for the classic?

what if I have 1.1.2? Is there any solution with it?

by the way, it is kinda off topic but when i play videos with my ipod normally, it cant play videos non-stop....

i pretty much have to choose the next video whenever the previous one stops...it is pretty annoying if I am just playing music videos

  4. I just installed a rear view camera on my car today.

I hooked it up to the reverse wire so it will turn on when I am in R only.

I thought the D3 will automatically turn on the rear view screen once I am in Reverse but for mine....nothing happened....I had to hit Map button then Rear view button everytime I want to take a look at my rear screen

My question is, how do I change the setting in order to make the D3 changes to the rear view screen once I am in reverse?

  5. I have some high pitch alternator noise, so I went to ground the d3 to the chassis today.

The alternator noise isnt as loud as before but still there. However, when I look at my speed sensor, it said the function is not available. Also, the gps is about 1 block off my actual position.

everytime when I start my car, it will tell me something about storefront mode and how the gps will work according to my current position or something.

Does anyone know what is wrong? I checked the GPS antenna status at "Connection Status", it seems perfectly fine.

  6. 2 SCREENS

    CONECTION STATUS AND 3D CALIBRATION.

these 2 screens will tell you how strong of a gps signal ur getting (proving if ur antenna is good) it will have a speed pulse counter (showing if u hooked up vss or not) and all the other system monitoring stuff the avic has.

now to deal with the problems your stating go to 3d calibration and "clear" everything. the unit will relearn ur driving and should fix any wierd issues with navi. good luck

thanks a lot!! I will definitely do that...

Now you remind me something, the installer didnt hook up with VSS since the speed pulse shows me "0" since my deck is bypassed. For the gps signal, it shows me "NOK" I THINK when the gps is acting weird

  7. If the VSS wire come disconnected, it guesses at your speed using it's internal gyros. Which isn't that accurate, hence the need for a VSS input.

I don't have my VSS wire connected right now. The D3 has my speed PERFECTLY matched to my speedometer. I don't think it's using the gyros to calculate speed. It can calculate your speed from the GPS signals - like any hand-held GPS can do.

is that mean there is something wrong with my gps antenna?

I just dont get how it was working perfectly fine before I disconnect the battery

  8. Check to see if your VSS wire has come disconnected, and if not try resetting the unit. And maybe disconnecting the battery cleared the unit's hybrid learning info and it's had to start over.

I dont know if my theory is right or not but let say the VSS wire has come disconnected, isnt the speed on my screen wont move at all?

I just dont get how come the speed and my gps arent accurate anymore after I disconnect my battery. :S

    should I disconnect again?

  9. I have my GPS installed for about 5 months already. Didnt really have any GPS problem until I disconnected and re-connected my battery last week.

Sometimes the speed that shows on the screen and my GPS position are not accurate.

Let say if I am driving 120km/h on hwy, it will show me I am driving 20km/h on the screen. Also, the GPS sometimes might show I am driving on a different street instead of my actual position. It gives me a lot of headache when I am trying to follow the routes. :(

  10. if i hook up the front right speaker to the front left channel, then that speaker will not work instead of the front left speaker.

I came up with a conclusion that I dont think there is anything wrong with the speaker or amp.

Can it be a problem with the rca cable to cause the left channel not working and the right channel works perfectly fine?

  11. I got my D3 for my 02 subaru legacy for about 2 months. I got some really weird problem with the headunit.

Sometimes, my front left speaker doesnt work. If my car is stopped, normally I would turn up the volume as high as possible, the front left speaker will work again but it might cut out after.

If I am driving, if I hit like a speed bump, the speaker may cut out. OR if I let go my gas and touch the brake, it will work again. It is just really weird.

I am assuming it is a problem with my headunit since at first I thought it was because of my amp, but it wasnt. I put a different amp in my car, same thing happened.

I dont think it is a problem with the speaker itself either. Let say if I connect my front right speaker to the front LEFT channel in my amp, then obviously, the front right speaker wont work properly but the front left speaker will work with no problem.

Hope I can get some help from you guys
