  1. After testing the camera on my DVR for my security system...it works. So is it possible that the RCA could be bad on the head unit??? Is there any way to fix check this or fix it? Thanks!
  2. Thanks!...I guess I will start with checking the camera, not sure how though...maybe the ground. If thats fine then the RCA. I remember now that I was actually sent the wrong camera for my D3 (I think it was a PAL) and the screen was just scrolling, but it still gave an image...it was fine after I hooked up the NTSC one.
  3. The brown rca is the one it is connected to. I wish I had a diagram showing wire locations on the harness...I have been looking for a while, but no luck. Once I figure that out I will hook that reverse wire up. I thought it would work without it though. On the other hand, I should make sure the camera actually works.
  4. So I installed this unit and just recently bought a camera off ebay, figuring that it would work...the box says it is a NTSC. I am pretty sure that its the same type that I stuck on my other car with a D3. Here is my problem, I got a power harness off ebay for the head unit, so some of the wires are not correctly labeled. I cannot find a pinout for this hardness, so instead of having the camera come on when in reverse, I figured I just use the "Rear View" button when needed. I tapped the power for the camera to the red 12v ign at the harness, grounded the camera to the frame, and hooked t
  5. ...I do only have it connected to the brown RCA, I was saying that I also tried it on the video input RCA...theres only one RCA output on the camera.
  6. I just installed a reverse camera for my D3, but the screen rolls from bottom to top (fast) and doesn't stop. I have the reverse wire connected right and the hooked the RCA upto the reverse camera rca (brown) and also the video input...the screen does the same for both. I have the power for the camera hoked up to the remote turn on for my amplifier and ground on the amp. Does anyone know whats going on with this???
  7. This pic shows wire in pin 30, but no wire in 31??? I hooked up to it anyways and I get a speed signal, but it still lags a bit (all though the speed is right on with the speedometer). Is this normal??? Oh, disregard the note that it is pin 31 in the pic.
  8. No, I did not hook it up...I am waiting for someone else to do it so that I have some idea where to look myself.
  9. Just got the unit back from the dealer and it is a different one (SN#'s don't match box/unit), but I think it was a display model or something (shows some signs of use...anyways I just got done putting it back in and it works like a peach! Thanks!
  10. I installed my new D3 and I keep getting insert appropriate disc...and then a read disc error. I get this on every CD I try including the Nav discs. The radio works fine, but no CD's. I sent it back to the dealer and they said it was working for them, so their sending it back...they said it has to have something to do with the install. What could I have possibly hooked up incorrectly. I would appreciate any help. It's in a 2007 Altima with just the base system....Thanks
