  1. Please disregard, had a bad cable and much better now.
  2. Purchased a new 8500BHS and had installed by a local shop yesterday. I have a Iphone 5 w/ IOS 7 and attached to a digital AV adapter them from the digital AV Adapter to HDMI and lighting connector to back of the head unit. USB1 lights up and when I select all I get is "format read." The 8500BHS never allows to access the music. According to the documentation: Pioneer's AVH-X8500BHS is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPod® or iPhone® for music and video via an optional USB interface cable depending on your iOS device (sold separately).   3. I think I have this straight, The AV adapter attaches to the phone and from the AV adapter, both HDMI and the cable that cam with the phone????? The HU has both HDMI and USB??????
  4. This apple adapter: Apple® Lightning™ Digital AV Adapter Also, to be clear.....the only cable coming from the HU will be the HDMI?   5. Just purchased the SPH-DA210 to interface with an iphone 5/IOS 7. Do I need both the HDMI and USB or just the HDMI? I have read that the Pioneer HDMI connection kit is not needed, just a HDMI cable. Thanks
