  1. i have the bose system yes. I had everything professionally installed. I turn both the Z1 "phone voice volume" and the "ear piece volume" on my phone all they way to their lowest settings... still loud makes NO sense with the phone voice volume, if i turn it down to 0 bars, nothing... if i put it to the first notch, it's as if i turned my radio up volume 5 or 6... thats how loud it is and i keep reading all of these other posts of people saying... they used the level 3 reset and that bluetooth fix and it works perfectly now... and that's pissing me off
  2. covered it with a thin piece of cloth, moved it back up to the windshield.... made 2 phone calls. 1st one, my dad could hear like 1 out of every 5 words he was saying... but then the louder he talked, the worse it got the 2nd phone call was to my brother who i have used as my "call test dummy" throughout this whole thing.... said it has gotten "a little better" but not much, he hears every other word he says
  3. i had it playing somehting out of the library... i can hear it very faint, but i just paused it and then didnt hear anything there is a bit of static right when i connect the call... just a constant light hum normal?
  4. yeah, i put it in, hit map, ran the program, went through to 100% it rebooted itself.... didnt seem to help
  5. in the ceiling, directly above my head (where the OnStar mic goes) Thank you very much for helping me out with this by the way. It is ust frustrating me beyond belief
  6. i went in to the volume menu and turned phone voice to the lowest possible one... is that what you mean?
  7. found it, it's still annoyingly loud. I have both the volume on my phone and Z1 turned all the way down. is there something I'm just not realizing? I have had this system for a good 6 months now, and I have never been able to use it because of the echo due to the volume. You'd think they would have fixed it on the Z2 and used a closed circuit mic, so when the speakers pipe out the other person's voice, the mic shuts off
  8. How do I do that?? I do not see that in the options/settings menu on my Z1
  9. I uploaded that bluetooth fix, i reset my system and turned everything down like suggested, re-paired the phone.... absolutly no progress. Still loud as crap, still echoing like a stadium I'm getting my money back for the bluetooth, it's worthless Unless anyone else has any friendly suggestions
  10. Hopefuly I dont have a hit put on me... but how do i remove my phone form the system?? I read somewhere that i can adjust the volume lower by removing my phone from the system, turning it down and then relinking it to the Z1
  11. Sorry, I literally just created an account on here 5 minutes before i posted that. I guess I should have done a bit of searching before i posted Sorry about that, I bet that gets annoying
  12. I payed extra for this bluetooth, and the echo is unbareable to the person on the other side. I turned the volume all the way down on the unit, and on my phone. And either they can still hear themselves talking, or I can't hear a word they are saying. I have a Bose Surround Sound system in my silverado, don't know if that has anything to do with it. I have tried relocating the mic from the top of the windshield to in the cieling in the OnStar mic location. A little better, but still annoying. Anyone?
