Soooo not worth all the work lol
-
I didn't do anything special...just did it like the instructions tell you to...I've had no problems..maybe a difference in the BT software version in the phone :shrugs:
-
A few I did for the Mustang....
-
Hmm just looked under options and it was Joliet or something...if memory serves it needs to be ISO for it to read it....now to find another blank CD...
That worked...

Well it didn't seem to like that...inserted it...said it was reading disk...then said it was a cd-rom, but when I go to select a background Import from Disk is greyed out....any special options Im supposed to select in Roxio...I just did create a Data CD...I had a bunch of word and excel files in subfolders of another folder named D...would that confuse it?
-
Cool, have that here at work...just create a folder called Pictures with the files in it correct? (And have at least 100 meg on the disk total w/no music files)
-
The last time I did it I had Nero on a computer...no longer have that computer and was wondering what other software I could use that would burn a disk that would work...I recall having trouble using anything other than nero....thanks
-
BJ hell it better do more than that lol
-
Not that I know of....
-
Not sure about subaru, but in most Fords there is a joint in the antenna wire somewhere between the antenna and the head unit...it sometimes can be pulled apart when doing an install which results in no signal....might look for something along those lines...
-
You can see your speed, acceleration (g's), incline, etc.....most info is gathered from the gyro sensor/accelerometer in the unit....
-
Reaching through the steering wheel doesn't seem too safe lol
-
Dude..anger management?? Seriously though, if the guy you are taking it to is a professional he should have access to a book/data-base/etc that would tell him where its at....
-
If the DVD player comes with wireless headphones or a headphone jack I wouldnt see why it wouldn't work, you would just have to supply it power....
-
I have the 8125 (previous version of the 8525) and it works fine....
-
Yeah don't think I would trust somebody that was supposed to be a professional to install it if they didn't at least know where to find out what wire it was/where it was located......
-
And I've seen "Professioal Insatalation" spelled a lot better.... I'm kidding. At any rate check your other post.
Doh! Thats what I get for trying to type fast
-
Do it yourself...safe a ton of money, know its done right (no offense to the installers here, but I have seen some reaaaallyyyy shity jobs come out of "Professioal Instalation", and learn something at the same time...It took me about two hours to put it in the Mustang on Saturday, took a little longer in the Crown Vic due to having to do some custom work on the dash trim to get it to fit.

Called Crutchfield....apparently Ford no longer uses a pulsed voltage for the speed sensative volume and now use a digital signal...had to tap the VSS at the ECU....all done now except for the Reverse Sense lead, but in no hurry to do that since I don't have the backup camera.
could you shrink your signature picture? It takes up the entire screen!
You must have a small screen :P I'll work on it. By the way...where did people find the VSS wire in an 05 mustang gt w/shaker 500? It had speed sensative volume, so it has to be at the radio harness, but its not on the pin it was on in the 03 C.V...... -
Does the Z1 bolt/screw into the facia somehow? The kit and the car are both waiting for me back home but Im on the otherside of the freakin country now and its killin me lol....will be back tomorrow.
-
I was actually talking about the facia kit, not the wiring kit, should have made that a bit more clear....
-
How about a 05 (or any new body style) Mustang GT, silver with black racing stripes and bullit wheels....
