dang. i thought it was my magic bullet to getting Zune and my D3 married... i really dont want to buy an Ipod.

look at this video... he says he's using a USB cable.. what cable, and does it allow control\charging of something like a zune when connected via USB?? i wish i had the resources to dismantle an ipod cable and make it zune compatible.

yeah, i havent done an install in years. im just concerned that removing the mute cable from its inital slot will cause me to not get it muted while recieveing bluetooth phone calls and such.

My D3 will be in my hands Monday. I got it for 650 bucks shipped from a buddy on another forum, complete with all cables, pacs, etc. the bypass mod has already been done, but I started thinking.... is it necessary to ground the MUTE cable, or just any cable in the inital empty slot? am i losing the abilty to have the radio muted by things like the bluetooth add on, or the XM addon , or even the IPOD add on? im thinking adding any wire to that initally empty slot and grounding it would have the bypass working, but still allow a MUTE functionality. I just think I dont have to give up that f
