  1. He installed a small switch. Works well now.
  2. he will put in a relay tomorrow. Should work then it sounds like. He did a good job with the install, but my MP3 player doesnt work and I put in blue tooth and have no friggin clue how to use it.
  3. I just had this unit installed on my 2002 chevy pickup. The installer said I would have to have my parking brake engaged slightly to watch DVDs while travelling with the family. My brake light on my console comes on and it chimes continously. What can I do so I can watch while driving? Ben
  4. I did not think so. I had aonther guy install the unit and I know he had to get a bypass for the controls to be used. Must be lose. Have him look tomorrow. Thanks Ben
  5. I did the bypass for the mute wire and grounded the brake. That works fine. Now the steering wheel controls dont work with the volume anymore. Would simply changing the mute wire location change it so the steering wheel control no longer work? Thanks for the help on the simple bypass earlier. Ben
  6. So by doing the simple mute bypass and grounding that out, you are then able to watch DVD while in motion. Sounds simple enough. Thanks
  7. New to site and need to get answers for the service guy. Scenario - I bought this unit for wifey and had it professionally installed and he was somewhat familiar with these units. We are unable to access the DVD while driving down the road. The installer said he grounded it out with the parking brake already. So is there another step that needs to occur to resolve this issue? She will not be the one watching the DVD as our son will be the one. I know there should be a way to bypass this safety feature. Some one referred me to this site. Thanks in advance. Ben
