Still going....installed and activated my D3 today. Fresh install and XM was available for about 10 minutes. I had all the channels then suddenly didn't have any except the previews. Called XM and got the 77 plus Nav Traffic..total was $124 yearly. I used ZWINBACK, I was a returning customer and she informed me that I had a balance of $23 which had to be paid before I could activate. I did owe so I paid and now have XM.

I'm going with the Boyo, VTL 400
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=018
I think that most importantly you would want to go with a CCD rather than a CMOS...... I have this one for sale, brand new, still in the box, I just ordered it and decided after receiving it to go with the Boyo instead.
If interested PM me.....

Why a CCD Camera?
CCD and CMOS imagers were both invented in the late 1960s and 1970s (DALSA founder and CEO Dr. Savvas Chamberlain was a pioneer in developing both technologies). CCD became the preferred and dominant technology, primarily because it gave far superior imaging results.
Most of the cameras that are sold on eBay are CMOS cameras. CCD Cameras are usually twice the price and the pictures are up to 10 times clearer, brighter and more colorful.

The Boyo is $139.00 on Ebay, this includes the frame and camera. For $89 dollars you could purchase just the camera without the license plate frame.
Crutchfield wants $249...geez, highway robbery.

I'm not sure where you live but that has a lot to do with it. XM Nav works better in some places than others.

How do you determine whether it's a 5th or 5.5 generation Ipod?
-
To a dealership....? To locate a possible burnt fuse...?
DIY man DIY....

I thought I might of made a mistake getting my D3 after reading that Garmin had the Nav in the Kenwood, and some problems others had with the Nav in the D3. But, I'm happy with the D3 as every unit can't have everything perfect at least not yet anyway.
Check out the reviewers comments on the Strada on Amazon though.
-
Hey Misfit, do you really like the Strada? I read some reviews that mostly said the thing sucked.
-
Thanks, Axxman

Memorex media suck big time. Try Verbatim and you'll probably be much happier.
Although it worked for you so congrats I guess.

Porn moan as ringtone...very nice.

You really didn't know this before you bought it? Wow, want to sell it?
-
Very nice, as I'd rather control it from the screen.
-
Could anyone recommend some decent speakers for my ride. Anyone who has done installs on similar vehicles.
-
I have the 12 disc changer. Do you think that I'll have to use the remote also? Mine has been out for a long time too.
-
I'll post my opinions after I use mine for a bit. I'm on LI NY with tons of traffic so we'll see if can make my trips easier to navigate.
-
The trick is to keep trying different CSRs until you get what you want.

MY DL drive cost $32 from New egg and works perfectly. Do that and you can then have it for other uses.
