What kind of beer? MY DL drive cost $32 from New egg and works perfectly. Do that and you can then have it for other uses.

Still going....installed and activated my D3 today. Fresh install and XM was available for about 10 minutes. I had all the channels then suddenly didn't have any except the previews. Called XM and got the 77 plus Nav Traffic..total was $124 yearly. I used ZWINBACK, I was a returning customer and she informed me that I had a balance of $23 which had to be paid before I could activate. I did owe so I paid and now have XM.

I'll sell you mine for $75 and it's much nicer. Money back guarantee if not satisfied also. Let me know as it's brand new and never used and if your not interested I'll return it.

The Boyo is $139.00 on Ebay, this includes the frame and camera. For $89 dollars you could purchase just the camera without the license plate frame. Crutchfield wants $249...geez, highway robbery.

I'm not sure where you live but that has a lot to do with it. XM Nav works better in some places than others.

How do you determine whether it's a 5th or 5.5 generation Ipod?

I thought I might of made a mistake getting my D3 after reading that Garmin had the Nav in the Kenwood, and some problems others had with the Nav in the D3. But, I'm happy with the D3 as every unit can't have everything perfect at least not yet anyway. Check out the reviewers comments on the Strada on Amazon though.

I have the 12 disc changer. Do you think that I'll have to use the remote also? Mine has been out for a long time too.

I'll post my opinions after I use mine for a bit. I'm on LI NY with tons of traffic so we'll see if can make my trips easier to navigate.

The trick is to keep trying different CSRs until you get what you want.
