I wouldn't put it past them to not even update the maps on the D3. It cost money and with the bootlegging they can't be making near what they could or should.

You better get cash, that way when they freeze your paypal and all your bank accounts as they investigate (and they are not in a hurry trust me) you have money to pay a lawyer.

Simple answer. Sell the unit, buy the update or drive around with an out-of-date map. Its $120 bucks not $10,000 if its gonna take you 2 months to recoop your bank account dont buy it!

I'd kinda keep that on the DL, Poineer could wrap you up in legal fees till your 80 for costing them 200k.

OK just got off the phone with Pioneer about the backgrounds and XM update. They changed some of the set-up on the backgrounds, frames, designs ans stuff. XM update is the station icons. They did add some extra to the map, like multi lane display and some other small things.

I'm on dial-up, but you had me till the eyeroll.

Its funny that I see people who been lookin for the new 2008 Map update torrents FINALLY get their disc but yet will NOT give the rest of us a Torrent to upload but will post reviews about their updates... Then again I can't complain seein on how I haven't purchased it myself... Oh well. Keep givin us the feedback y'all. Not me I never asked for a free download.

I upgraded mine last night and everything works fine. No new backgrounds (I have a call in to pioneer). It did give me a new route to work, the faster one it never gave me before, and this with no new roads. Lots of new roads and it seems faster.

You are right I was looking at buying each region for the Tom Tom. I found many and purchased myself an update for waterways that cost 199 plus shipping. Caddy's cost 199 plus shipping. BMW 199, Jag 199. Take my post as you will, I have both discs in transit, i'm sure someone on here will build a torrent for the east soon. Good Luck
