If you burned and verified it 100% and still not working, the other problem could be the discs. Try a different brand. Some brand works better than others. Try Verbatim ones.

Use Imgburn.. that's what I used. Free too http://www.imgburn.com/

From my experiences, when there is no voice present, this means that the system could not read 100% from the disc. You will need to either reburn or use a different software/brand of disc.

That's correct. The first disc (west or east, whichever) you put in updates the system. The second disc you put in, it will reboot (to update the maps). After that, you're done.

That just sums it up. He can't read. Three of my other posts was helping others figure out how to install the AVIC-D3 and doing the bypass. One is just asking others how long it takes to boot up. Been reading around the forums and I'm still a bit confused on how to do the bypass for the Avic-Z2... I want to be able to press buttons while driving. On the D3, I was able to bypass by moving the mute wire to an empty slot and then ground both the mute and parking break wire which was quite easy to do. How do I bypass with the Z2? Thanks

Actually you do need to get them off so you can transfer it to the new dash kit. To take off the knobs, get a flat screwdriver or something and just stick it into the crack and then carefully pry it off. Once you have the two knobs off, just transfer the AC climate unit thing to the new dash kit and put the knobs back on.

Hey, I just finished installing the D3.. but does it take a long time to load? Example: It shows up "Starting Up Pioneer Car Navigation..." then shows the Pioneer logo screen and then pops up the "Start Navigation" button and the "Shop Demo" button. Then the terms and conditions screen with OK button. Is there a way to get rid of the "starting up pioneer car navigation" screen and the "Start Navigation/Shop Demo" screen? Also, does it take long for you to find the location?
