  1. Like I said, my invoice/receipt was from 6th Ave with a huge 6th Ave logo on top. Some people have stated that they got an amazon receipt with their purchase which is NOT good for the rebate. If this is the case, you can call up 6th Ave, and just explain that you need a receipt from them for the rebate. They are good with customer service and should give you no problems mailing out a receipt.

  2. Flo tv is just an addon you purchase, (plus the monthly fee), and it plugs into the RCA inputs on the unit. Very expensive just for the automotive tuner box. too bad the handheld unit doesnt have AV outputs

  3. I just went to the canadian website in the link above to get the official updates, and the cost is $150 canadian, $147 US when converted. That's more then you can get it at the US Pioneer website which is $120 US

You misread the website. the $150 is for the Mexico maps. The actual updates are listed for $75CDN. I wonder why Pioneer is ripping us off in the US?

  4. I had a Boyo VTL-300 license plate frame camera (Black, not chrome) on my older 2004 Ford Expedition, and I was extremely pleased with the images on my old AVIC-N3, even at nighttime. Now on my 08 Expedition, I had another VTL-300 installed with my X910BT, and Im still extremely pleased with the clarity of the picture in both daytime and nighttime. I think I paid $140 for that camera. No need for $250 for the Pioneer backup cam.

  5. If you want to be able to view the camera while driving do not install per the suggestions above. The advice above is the half assed approach most installers take to cut a corner but is not the proper way to wire a reverse camera. If you want full capabilities, you need to wire the power wire of the cam to the switched 12 volt +, the ground wire to any ground, and the reverse wire from the head unit to the reverse circuit on the car, and the RCA video cable from the cam into the rcam input on the rear of the unit. This will give you reverse cam and rear view while you are driving.

    Totally agree.

  6. You would need to purchase and install a tuner box depending on the service you want. I know for sure, you can get XM Radio by purchasing the Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM tuner module. With this, you get full song/data info, channel logos, etc.

I do not know the model # for the Sirius module, but I don't believe you get as much information on screen with Sirius. I believe its just one line of data (either artist or song name, not both) and no channel logos.
