  1. i did group the one long black wire thats on the D1 harness and theres another wire thats part of the amp intergration kit which has black wires on it that i did not ground, could that be the problem?
  2. I installed a D1 unit in my 2005 altima with the bose sound system using the amp integration kit, and am getting a ridiculous a mouth of engine noise, when the car is just on "accessory" its fine, when the engine is running and im not moving its fine, but when the car is moving i get the noise, the weird thing is its basically only when im moving and if i put the car in neutral and rev the engine theres no noise. im gonna take it apart tomorrow to check the wiring, but what else can it be??
  3. i tried grounding the green wire, but i still get the warning on bootup, its a 2005 altima.
  4. thanks but first im gonna hook it up without the GPS to make sure everythin works, and if it does, then ill get the GPS ant. and DVD disc. the harness should be commin tommorow so ill do a test run with that.
  5. well i went ahead and ordered the RCA and power harness from pioneer, I will hold of on the gps ant since they are pretty cheap on ebay, will u unit function without the nav-dvd for general use (radio and music)?
  6. the nav partion is the least of my concern, i just want to get the thing hooked up for normal use first, I need both harnesses. and im trying to find out if i need the speed and the reserve extension leads seperately? or are they just extensions for the regular harness?
  7. ebay prices are about the same as pioneer directly :\
  8. I was browsing through the car stuff at circuit city, and saw an open box avic D1 unit under the counter with a price tag of 249.97... I got extremely exciting and ran over to the nearest guy in a red polo shirt and asked him what the deal with that was??? He replied that its just the unit and has no wires, is missing the lower left knob and id be on my own installing it. so I thought to myself "getting the accessories cant be that hard" well anyways here I am with a D1... and I basically need everything to hook it up, i saw all the parts listed on the pioneer website, but does anyone kno
