  1. Pretty sad information you're feeding these people. All vehicles have a VSS wire that transmits a Digital DC signal... Whether it be a wheel speed sensor, cam/crank sensor, VSS on the trans it consists of: A reluctor (toothed wheel) Magnetic Pickup Coil of wire They're all digital... As for ANALOG signals (TPS, MAP, MAF) most of them need to be converted to Digital DC so the PCM can understand the signal.
  2. Why would you even want to have the picture normal? If you're using the camera for "backing up" or even just while driving and its not reversed then You will end up making a mistake (if you're relying on it). Not trying to say anyones stupid enough to do it, but why not keep it reversed so you can see EXACTLY what you need to see!
  3. IDK whats going on with your Map Discs, but if your disc with the pictures has any random files (mpegs, gifs, etc.) that the unit cannot read (or you have more than 20 pictures on the CD itself) then it will not read it. Try getting a cleaning disc?
  4. As for the guys who want to know how to set it. Go to page 129 of your manual. If you dont have your manual register with pioneer, click on the avic d3 model, go to documents, and click on owners manual. When the PDF loads go to page 131.
  5. If you're just installing it, and it IS his then there shouldn't be a lock on it. Plus if it is his then he should know or be able to ask his mother what her maiden name is. I'm sorry dude but definately sounds like you stole it, and even if we did know how to reset it your post sounds way too fishy for help! I just got my shit jacked and I dont feel like possibly helping another thief. Tell your friend to grow some balls and find out who he stole it from and give it back.
