  1. This is fuckin hilarious. I have no idea who you are but obviously you're complete douche. I haven't been here in many many months, yet you join up here with the seemingly sole purpose of posting this topic, naming specifically a person who hasn't been around in ages. I dunno. Whatever. I just happened to stop in to post a deal I ran across on one of the units and I come across a PM about this assclown posting about me. Whatever. I really don't give a shit. Have fun with whatever stupid shit you decide to do in the future dude.
  2. Yeah, you don't need a switch for the bypass. Just wire it up as per the directions and it will work all the time.

But if for some reason you want to disable the bypass you could put a switch on it. If it is a two pole switch, the positive and negative poles on the switch don't really mean anything as the signal can pass through the switch in either direction. All it does is close a circuit. Just wire the switch in on the parking brake wire and it's done. (green wire to switch, switch to ground) The red/black sides on the switch are inconsequential.

  3. Is it still fashionable and hip to rip on Vista and praise XP?

Anyway, at this point in time Vista is a much better OS than XP, plain and simple. I've run both updates on my F90 from a vista computer without issue. Also have done all my flash disk hacking and F90 software emulating on a Vista computer. Maybe you just don't know what you're doing.

  4. At this point hoping for any kind of firmware update from Pioneer for the D3 is like hoping to wake up with a couple of strippers in your bed, a pile of coke on the nightstand, and a million dollars under your pillow.

  5. Can of you hackers find a way to allow my 700bt in 2d mode to not always point north up? Is it possible, or must we wait for Pioneer, and they will not do it I was told?

    thanks.

not possible as of yet. it is a limitation of the iGo software that the nav portion of the unit runs on.

  6. I am having this same issue also, in 2D mode, I cannot get the arrow to point in the direction im heading as up, it will only keep north as up?? can this be done 2D mode? my old Avic-D3, would do this simply by tapping on the arrow button?

No. As of right now it's not possible due to limitations in the iGo navigation program.

  7. F Series will likely stay however Pioneer generally released newer models yearly.

Or due to the easy updating of these units, they might update models like they did with the Z-series units... keeping the units the same but changing the programming/data on them.

  8. I wouldn't put it past them to not even update the maps on the D3. It cost money and with the bootlegging they can't be making near what they could or should.

Why not? They've already done it this year, as well as every year in the past for their older units.

  9. No, Pioneer is not now or in the future planning on releasing a major upgrade/update for the D3 as it is a discontinued unit, just like with the D1's, D2's, N1 through N4... all you will see for these units in the future is map data updates, that's it.

  10. If I put a video onto the card, while driving, can I watch the movie still? Music videos woud come in handy with this.

Yes (provided that the unit is bypassed) you will be able to watch video while the vehicle is in motion.
