i got the 70 disk installed , but my dvd still works fine

the antenna is on the passenger roof side and the unit is installed with the arrow facing forward. the unit is flat down

alright, after i called pioneer i found out that the frimware update is for the z1's that have problems with booting up. there is no glitch with the n1, therfore no firmware update. thank you all for your help

vss...is that the speed sensor? that is hooked up and working fine. might be what you said about the sats...

ok i did another search again... and still got q's i don't have xm radio... don't have bluetooth i want to connect , either. now, what would the firmware update actually change or benefit me in? i can play vid with the parking brake grounded, it just informs the that it's connected wrong but that's all. mine is an n1 , and i wonder what it would benefit me with. i don't want to mess with it, if there is nothing going to change, anyway.

many post talk about trouble with installs and that they want to reset their avic. but anyway, my question is still the same. what does the flash update do? i have a n1 btw

what does the firmware actually do? and what's the difference to the 07 update disk? might be a dumb q , but i just don't know thx

my avic n1 likes to pick the most retarded ways to a destination. the 3d calibration is almost done but the car still sometimes is shown next to the road and stuff... btw i am using the 70 disk from ebay... is there a certain software update that might fix the problems i am having? i also tried the search but could not find much thx in adance
