F710BT trouble; how to update to most recent maps?

Hi, I recently bought a new car and I now have an AVIC f710bt with old maps. I tried to update it (update was for F910BT with maps 2012) but it didn't work (system did not boot after install and reset) so I had to put back my backup. Is there anyone who can help me (backup files working system or right installation procedure? I have an AVIC f710bt WinCE v.5.00 map 02.000600 version 3.021000 Thanks in advance! Marc (Netherlands)
