  1. Sweet. Thanks so much for clearing this up. I had actually tried to find the answers to these questions by searching through the posts for quite some time before posting my question. Perhaps this kind of basic info should be stickied at the top, preferably editing hyperite's original post on this subject?
  2. Thanks so much for the information. I already tried the method 2 update from hyperite (stickied at the top of this forum) and got the message "update disc already updated". Does this me that I that I already have the correct software to do the two-wire bypass?

  4. OK, my AVIC Z2 was manufactured in July 2007. Do I need any software updates?

You have to use a third party (which one? any third party?) dc burning software for this to work. Also "the CD you record must be in one of the following formats using Mode 1: ISO9660 level1/level2, Joliet, or Romeo.", whatever that means. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... 79,00.html "All of these files must be copied to the root of the CD and should not be
  7. I am having the exact same issue. I checked the CD and it contains the files dsikid.dat, discinfo.txt, plus conf, Renewal and SDATA folders. By the way, the discinfo.txt file contains: Pioneer DISC:00 MODEL:---Z1 But I have Z2, is this ok? I got the iso from hyerite's sticky post.
