  1. Just in case you guys didnt know. You can set profiles to the NAVIGATION. In here you can set the colors for day and night as well as changing the cursor to FORMULA CAR, DELOREAN, TRUCK, STATION WAGON, PERSON WITH FLYING CARPET, EXOTIC CAR, ETC. Profiles are used to differentiate the drivers preference if more than one person drives the car.

    To get to this option:

-click on the 3 lines on the bottom right

    - in the bottom middle of this screen you will a rectangular box with 3 icons. a person (half a person logo)/ 2D/3D views / pinpoint.

    - select the first icon. In there you can create your profiles.

  2. This unit is bad ass. period. I always was a fan of the premiere units. This is the first time I have a truck that allows for a double din unit. In my truck the screen in the day time is amazing. not much glare. if you want take a Ipad mini anti glare screen protector and cut it down to size. I am going with the IPAD 2 screen protector to cut it down size and remove the center button and camera wholes.

  3. 1. is the camera connected to the brown (REAR CAMERA INPUT)?

    2. I found that I had to hook up the reverse trigger to the back of the unit. Theres a reverse trigger wire there.

Check if thats the issue. That was my issue

  4. The 5000nex doesnt have HDMI port. So you need to connect the phone to USB1 for Iphones. And download the app. The app will not work if you dont have the appradio app installed. I really dont think you need the Pioneer cable which is just a lightning cable.

  5. Unfortunately this procedure does not work with the EU version of the 8000, the AVIC-F60DAB. I tried it several times but no luck. Any ideas or other experiences wit EU versions?

I've just installed the radio without test drive.. maybe the bypass is not needed for EU versions. I'll try tomorrow.

did you ground the parking brake wire to the chassis?? or the ground of the harness??

  6. I just installed my 4000NEX a few minutes ago.  This is my first Pioneer in 25 years.

I have my backup camera working just fine.  Auto switches when I go in reverse, etc.  What I'm looking for is a way to turn on the backup camera while driving.  I tow a trailer and would like to look at it.  I don't see a way to activate a menu item for it.  I see "Camera View set to ON", seems to literally leave the entire radio on the rear camera.  I must be missing something because this seems to be an odd behavior.

Is there a way to get a rear camera menu item to switch in and out of?

I'm a little confused on the smartphone setup.  Why do you have to choose between bluetooth and usb?  With bluetooth setting, you can't use the iPod.

I was playing with the app radio mode.  Got it running fine using the av adapter on my iPhone 5S.  Is there anything you need to do to get Waze working on it?

What can I use usb2 for when I'm using usb1 for my iPhone?

    Thanks for the help.

    to answer your questions.

    1. You can add a second camera to just watch the trailer and connected to the AV input. The radio should have 2 camera inputs. One brown input for the rear and you can use the AV inputs on the back (YELLOW/RED/WHITE) for a secondary camera.

2.Not really sure why. But I prefer USB. Better sound quality.

    3. In order for you to run WAZE. You need to download the AppRadio App and Waze. Once the phone is plugged in, the app will ask you to take action. After you accept it will show up on the screen. \

    4. You can use USB2 for a USB stick for media, another iphone, ipod, or android phones. But USB1 is primary for appradio and Iphones.
