What is the speed sense wire? Is it something to show the vehicle speed in the D3?

I want to buy a AVIC D3 & it is not sold in Asia so i have to imported it from the US. I dont like any other brand like Kenwood & only want to buy this or Z2. I do realize that the navigation will not work as the software will only be for north america - thats ok. My specific queries are: 1. Does it play all formats of DVDs, like PAL, NTSC, etc. or only North American formats of DVD 2. For radio stations setting, can it scan odd and even station numbers (like 106.2 AND 106.1) OR only only odd station numbers (like 106.1) 3. Who makes the navigation software for this un
