So, I just got my 8000 in the mail. Don't have it in the car yet cause the car's in the shop but I set it up on the bench to mess around with some of the features.
1. I bought an IH-202 cable, only to discover that I don't need one. Not sure why Pioneer's site says you need one when there isn't even a connection for it on the back of the receiver.
2. The connection scheme for iOS devices is absurd.
I have the Apple Lightning to HDMI connector connected properly, etc. When the smartphone setup is set to "Digital AV Adapter", I can play audio over HDMI, but obviously cannot control my
