next wrinkle: have the cdiv202-av cable installed. I have to say that the apple VGA to lightning adapter has a painfully short cable and that lightning extension cables stupidly expensive, but that's not the wrinkle. Just a complaint. What I'm experiencing is what an 'incompatible USB' error message when plugged into the vga lightning adapter but not when plugged into the stock lightning cable that's plugged into that is plugged into the downstream USB cable coming from the cdiv202-av cable. only when that cable is plugged into the apple VGA adapter and the output of that adapter.

I just had a 5000 nex installed on Sunday. I'm unable to get appradio to work with my iphine 5. When the phone is connected. The main screen shows a blue App icon with a white x in the upper left. Touch screen does nothing there. Navi and other functions work. The unit came with a USB extension cable but it was too short to get to where I wanted it (I have a 2002 Toyota avalon). I used a black 10 foot belkin USB to lightning cable to get the necessary reach into my center console/armrest cubby. I also had another cable run from the second USB out to the center console using a micro USB cable,
