Hey guys, I finished installing my D3 with no problems at all. EXCEPT ONE. The bypass that I got from AVCI411 is not working for me and I'm 100% positive I did it correctly The steps I took were as follows: 1. Remove yellow mute wire from harness and place it one spot directly above. 2. Ground both Parking Brake Wire and MUTE wire. But unfortunately its still not working. I heard something about installing a TOGGLE SWITCH but I couldnt find anything on this site through the SEARCH. Anybody know about this toggle switch, if so, can you let me know where to connect it?...

Hi everybody, I'm having an issue with the bypass. I followed proper instructions for the bypass (FOUND ON THIS SITE). I check and rechecked before installing but the screen still blanks out with a playing DVD in there while moving and I cannot do any navigation adjustments while moving either. Any suggestions? .... Im positive the procedure was done right, I even performed continuity tests on all wires involved in procedure with a multimeter and everything checked out before sliding in the unit.

I'm looking to get a Sleeve/Cage for the D3 for my 2001 VW GTI .... Anybody know where I can find the on the web? ...

Ok look ... I tried searching for the bypass information, and I found that a lot of people seem to be having trouble with these bypasses and their not working correct for them. Like I said, I'm new at this ... Can somebody please guide me to a detailed BYPASS instructions that works for SURE on an AVIC-D3 please?

I just purchased a D3 and I'm very new at this but I understand that you need to do a bypass in order to view DVDs while in motion. If somebody can be so kind of pointing out the proper intructions on doing this before I install the unit. Thank you very much.

Hi everybody, I'm just really wondering if the AVIC D3 navigation system will work in EUROPE. What I'm really concerned about is, if I were to place a euopean navigation DVD in the unit will it recognize it?? ... Any helpful info would be appreciated, I still haven't installed the unit. I will be moving to europe in the beginning of 2008. Thank You.
