  1. Ever since the latest iOs update, I now have some extra icons on the front screen (5000) that I don't need/use- for example, Audiobooks, Podcasts and a few others. There's no way to delete or remove those is there? Just checking....I feel I know the answer but want to ask anyway.

    Thanks!

Not a stupid question at all. I'd love to be able to edit the icons that appear on my home screen, but no, at this time there is no way to do so.

  2. Ok, so updates installed. There is both a firmware and a bluetooth update. I don't use bluetooth (carplay) but I installed them both. Boot up is faster. Built in iPod controller can once again control phones now with the new music app. No significant changes that I saw for how the music app operates but at least now it OPERATES. So I'm happy with that.

Pioneer says it's a bug fix update. My device is booting faster, and my built in music app works again. I'm happy.

Did you install 1.09 or 1.10?
  3. Fonts are different, tighter looking, no layout differences though. Siri voice command wave is a lot more animated, maps has 3D now (dont remember that before?)

Maps always had a 3D button but it didn't really do much. Just tilted the angle slightly. Any chance of seeing a screenshot of the updated fonts?
  4. what is more to expect from an iPhone Hater. Fact is,, your problem has nothing to do with iPhone but more so in user error upgrading firmware. I would offer help but i don't want to get blamed for your stupidly. good luck!

It almost seems like he was hoping CarPlay wouldn't work so he could go on an anti-Apple rant. Mine works great, by the way. Some minor bumps, but I use it and enjoy it every day.
  5. All I know is, since installing 8.4 my CarPlay has been crashing like crazy. I went from having zero problems with it to having it crash every 90 seconds or so.

Actually, I want to take this comment back. I noticed that my iPhone was low on remaining storage space--under 300MB--and when I deleted some stuff and cleared up more room, CarPlay started working perfectly again. So, not 8.4's fault,

  6. probably, or it might show who's up next, batting average etc. kinda like game day maybe? I have an HDMI cable plugged into my 6000, so I can get games that way :)

I doubt you'll get any visual information like that, as Apple is adamant that CarPlay not be a distraction to the driver. So video isn't going to happen either.
